Support Veterans Valor: Honoring Service, Building Peace

At Veterans Valor, we are committed to honoring the sacrifices of Veterans and their families in New Jersey and Morris County by fostering healing, respect, and community engagement. Through initiatives rooted in education, reflection, and dialogue between Veterans and non-Veterans, we aim to galvanize greater support for Veterans’ causes.

The rates of suicide, addiction, homelessness, hunger, and untreated psychological and physical wounds among Veterans are unacceptable. It is our duty as a community to stand with those who have served and ensure they—and their families—receive the support they deserve.

We also believe that Veterans Valor will deepen public understanding of the true costs of war. This awareness fosters greater accountability for those who make decisions about engaging in conflicts—whether they are just or unjust.

To know war is to desire peace.

Your support will help us bring these initiatives to life:

🌿 The Healing and Arts Gardens at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum

A sanctuary for renewal, education, and conversation, the Healing and Arts Garden pays tribute to disabled Veterans while providing a tranquil yet thought-provoking space for Veterans, their families, and the community.

The garden will feature seven distinct sections, each reflecting a chapter in the journey of a wounded combatant’s life:

1. Point of Sacrifice

2. Medevac

3. Triage

4. Homeward

5. Recovery

6. Tribute to the Fallen – Honoring those who have died of their wounds after returning home or who have taken their own lives.

7. New Life

Through these spaces, we aim to inspire meaningful conversations about the heroism of sacrifice, the cost of war, and the universal desire for peace. This garden will be a place for reflection, healing, and connection—offering an opportunity to honor those who served and heal as a community, and for those who have suffered wounds to heal.

Fittingly, The Frelinghuysen Arboretum, one of the most beautiful botanical parks in the Garden State, will provide the perfect backdrop for this transformative experience.

🤝 Convene Veterans' Groups and Service Providers

We will organize symposia and events—also held at the Arboretum—to connect Veterans, service providers, and the broader community. These gatherings will educate, foster understanding, and address the unique challenges our Veterans face, paving the way toward peace and reconciliation.

Why this matters:

For our Veterans, the journey doesn’t end when their service does. Their contributions to their country and community often continue long after their discharge, but many face invisible battles, from trauma to reintegration challenges. At Veterans Valor, we stand by them, ensuring they—and their families—find the support, healing, and community they deserve.

Veterans Valor is proudly endorsed by Morris County and the local chapters of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Your gift can make a difference.

Every donation brings us closer to building the Healing and Arts Garden and convening essential symposia that can transform lives. By contributing to Veterans Valor, you are not just funding projects; you are supporting those who have sacrificed for our freedoms, fostering healing, and inspiring peace.

Join us in creating a world where the scars of service are met with understanding, and the legacy of sacrifice is met with gratitude, generosity, and peace.
