My name is Stella Chigha, and I’m an international student from Cameroon, Africa. I came to the United States three years ago with a dream placed in my heart by both pain and purpose.

When I was just 8 years old, I watched my father die because he did not receive the proper medical care he needed. That moment left a mark on me. I cried, I questioned God, and I made a promise: “One day, I will become a nurse and make sure no one else has to go through what we did.”

I’ve graduated from The Rock School in Gainesville, Florida, and have been accepted into a nursing program at Santa Fe College that will allow me to fulfill that promise—but I can’t do it alone.

I am raising $15,000 for three urgent needs:

🏠 $7,200 – Rent ($600/month for 12 months) to keep a roof over my head while studying 

📚 $7,000 – Tuition for Nursing School 

🛵 $300 – A scooter for transportation to class & clinicals 

That’s why I’m stepping out in faith and asking for your help. This isn’t just about education. This is about a promise I made, a purpose I carry, and a calling to serve others through faith and healing.

For the past three years, I’ve been blessed to live with a host family who took me in like their own daughter. But starting in June, they will unfortunately not be able to support me financially as they used to. 

As an international student, I can’t legally work in the U.S. yet. I’ve submitted my work visa paperwork, but it will take about 9 months to be approved. That means no job, no income, and no help—but still a dream that won’t die.

I’m asking for your support to help me continue my journey in nursing school.
