USD $25,000
Raised:
USD $10,290
Campaign funds will be received by Rockwell Woolford
The team is now complete! In the second week of August 2024, a team of 5 of us; Wally Meehan, Simon & Enoch Lam, my 17 yr old son, Nathanael and myself are heading to SE Asia for 2 weeks to help 2 long term missionary families (Kevin & Sarah C, Matt & Sherina W) accomplish some technical/mechanical work on the mission field.
We will troubleshoot & repair 2 work vehicles, install solar panels, run electrical wiring in one of the family’s new home and make some much needed repairs to their current home, in which the other family will occupy once the new home is completed.
We will also provide some civil/structural engineering type assistance in helping to look over their current school/home structures for deficiencies/innovation & design.
The goals are to accomplish these tasks in a very short time and in order to relieve these burdens from the shoulders of the long term missionaries and free them up to attend to the spiritual and practical needs of the people they are serving. We are also seeking to ignite the hearts of believers from our church and our partner churches to recognize the importance of supporting long term missionaries through short term service.
The goal is to raise enough funds (approx $25k) to cover our airfare (5 round trip tickets). Whatever is raised above our needs will go towards the school project, materials, tools, supplies and future support for these saints to accomplish the goal of bringing the gospel to SE Asia.
Prayer requests:
-For 3 more technically gifted/mechanically inclined/structural/civil engineering minded men to join us. (God answered with Wally, Simon & Enoch!)
-Safe travel. It’s a pretty rough ride to get there. 20-24 hours in the air, approximately 8-13 hours by sea. Sea travel all depends on flight day/night arrival timing.
-Overall physical safety/protection from the elements. We have no idea how our bodies will react to all we will face & eat.
-Success in what we desire to accomplish. There’s a lot to do with very limited resources and time. We can’t just run out to Autozone/local electrical supply to pickup parts.
-The ability and wisdom to teach the few Christian natives how to repair and maintain the vehicles as well as teach them the importance of vehicle maintenance.
-For Jesus to be glorified in all we do so the gospel will advance through the new school as well as the practical ministry of these families.
”For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.“ 1 Timothy 4:10
Glory to God!
What a blessing and inspiration that your team is spreading the love, help, Good News of Jesus. Thank you and I am praying for you.
In memory of Urzi (June 16, 1939 - June 23, 2024). He knew and loved His Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, and he loved to talk with others about the Lord Who had saved him.
This grant is provided by our Giver Army "Faith-Based" Cause. We are praying for a successful trip and for the Lord's provision to follow you throughout the extent of your mission trip! Philippians 4:19
Soli Deo Gloria
May the LORD bless you and the team.
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
For the advance of the gospel in SE Asia!
Excited for you !
Pray you and Ethan will be able to accomplish what God has put in your heart to do
Praise God for this amazing opportunity!

“To God be the glory, great things He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life our redemption to win, And opened the life-gate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice; Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice; Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory; great things He hath done!”
Fanny Crosby certainly understood that God is the One, who, for His glory stirs the hearts of His saints to magnify and glorify His Name, drawing us into enjoying Him forever. What an AWESOME GOD we serve!
It’s 6:11am Saturday morning as I write this with great joy to share with you all that our mission has been accomplished! Wally and Simon got both trucks running smoothly and back to the day they bought them (Pak Andre’s words)! This will greatly help the new building project move materials to the job site! They also prepared a service schedule for the men to keep the truck running well.
Rocky led the entire team, with excellent wisdom from Kevin, the assistance of Matt Weise, Nathanael, Simon, Enoch and Wally at the new house to get it fully wired with 23 outlets, 17 light fixtures, 13 switches, 2 ceiling fans! The new solar panels and mount (installed by Pak Andre’s brother, Alan and his team of villagers) have been installed. We installed the inverter, battery rack, main disconnect panel and breaker panels. The system has been tested and works beautifully! Enoch took care of all the locks for the new house and started putting together a master key system for them.
This was accomplished all because God allowed it. We are so thankful for His kindness towards us! Please continue pray for us and we have much travel to do as we start our journey home today.
Canoe ride around the island, ferry back to mainland, jump flight to Jakarta, and then 3 planes home. We’re scheduled to arrive at JFK, Wednesday evening.
This would not be possible without God moving your hearts to support this ministry by finding this trip. Thank you for all your kindness.
To God be all the glory!

This is a long needed update! Our departure date is 8/7/24 with a return date of 8/21/24. My apologies for not providing an update.
We are overwhelmed at the kindness and generosity of you all! We covet your prayers for this endeavor as there are so many factors that can hinder our plans as there is so much to do.
Praise God for His kindness towards us!
To Him be all the glory!

So yesterday, as I was about to announce our plans for this trip to our church, Levittown Baptist Church, I received a message from Kevin that Enoch Lam’s father, Simeon, will be joining us on this trip! That’s in addition to his son, Enoch, who is also going with us! That made 4, praise God. And literally as the service was set to start, Wally Meehan walked up to me with a big smile and before he could say a word, I asked him, “well, are you going?” And with an ear to ear smile he emphatically replied, “YES!” Praise God, now we are 5! The team is set! We are thankful for His kindness! New team pic to come shortly!!!

From Kevin C:
”WE NEED YOUR HELP”
The Charis School is in financial need. The new academic school year will begin on July 17th and we need the school building and facilities to be ready by July 8th. Construction is underway after receiving all the permissions and approvals from authorities, praise God! However, we are currently at a standstill financially and we are unable to purchase the heavy materials needed. We are now 4 weeks behind schedule.
Please consider helping to support this project to bring literacy and a Christian worldview to an unreached people group. We long to see this generation of children equipped to read the Bible and share God's Word with their families.
Here is a short list of the urgently needed materials we need to purchase to have the school up and running by August, at latest.
Roofing material: ≈$7,000
Cement: ≈$6,250
Tile: ≈$2,600
Door handles, hinges, window latches etc.: ≈$340
We desire to be good stewards of your giving and it would give us great pleasure to share with you why Charis School is an integral part of the gospel advance among the “M” people.”
