Hamdy and Isabelle are dear friends. God has touched us through them- and we love them and love Him for that.

Wednesday, the 5th of April, was a hard day. Hamdy passed early that morning, rather unexpectedly, leaving a devastating ache to both his wife, Isabelle, and their two young adult children, Florie and Nathan. They met long before I came to know them- but they took me under their friendship-and I got stuck! Many of you know Hamdy through YWAM or church, or neighborhood or Isabelle’s work. Hamdy’s warm smile and lively eyes communicated long after he couldn’t .

YWAM sweethearts, they married and found a home and church family in Orange County, where they were blessed with many loving neighbors and friends. We just celebrated their 25th anniversary this summer!

Hamdy has been ill with a debilitating condition, MS. Isabelle knew, they both knew, their story would be by faith in God's faithfulness. And even in this loss, we are comforted to know Hamdy lost the wheelchair, but entered into his Father’s embrace and into his eternal rest.

As Hamdy and Isabelle’s friends, we realize that one way we can bless them during this difficult time is to express it verbally and through lessening the impending costs of the funeral and life changes the near future holds.
