Over the last few years, billionaire and “philanthropist” George Soros has been quietly bankrolling the races of district attorneys across the United States. As these district attorneys win their races and assume their roles as prosecutors in criminal cases, it has become abundantly and painfully clear that these DAs are intent on pushing an agenda that does not protect U.S. citizens or their communities. On January 20, a suit was filed by Colby Wiltse, a resident of Nueces County Texas and State Director for County Citizens Defending Freedom, to remove Nueces County District Attorney Mark Gonzalez from public office. The suit alleges that Mr. Gonzalez has been incompetent and committed official misconduct, often displaying gross ignorance and carelessness in the discharge of his official duties. His actions, along with countless other DAs across the country, are resulting in a revolving-door criminal justice system where offenders, including the most violent of offenders, are released back onto the streets where they pose a threat to local communities.

This lawsuit is a pivotal moment in our Nation. Americans have the right and duty to hold their public officials accountable for breaches of liberty and governance.
