As the business owners of the beloved campground, watching the hurricane's approach filled us with anxiety. This was more than just a business; it was a culmination of our dreams, countless hours of labor, and a second home to many visitors.
When the storm hit, it was as if our worst fears materialized before our eyes. The picturesque scenery we nurtured for years turned into a chaotic, waterlogged mess. Our hearts sank as yurts, buildings, and equipment—a symbol of what we built—were swept away or destroyed by unforgiving winds and flooding.
In the aftermath, surveying the damage was heartbreaking. Where once the laughter of families and the warmth of campfires lit up the nights, there was now only silence. It felt like losing a part of ourselves, a place where countless memories were fostered and cherished.
Despite the loss, we hold onto hope. The community that our campground fostered over the years has become a network of support and encouragement. We are not alone in this journey—past campers, neighbors, and even strangers have reached out, offering assistance and solidarity.

I've lived through many hurricanes and seen lots of destruction but the videos and photos coming out of NC and TN is beyond what any of us have ever witnessed. Totally devastation. Sad to hear that this little piece of Heaven has fallen on hard times. My and my husband’s first RV adventure was earlier this year, and your RV park was our favorite stop. Praying for you and your rebuild.
