A little over a year ago, my best friend Jason stepped off the back of an ambulance and tweaked his back. Since that accident, he has progressively lost mobility in his legs, making it difficult for him to walk and stand. Climbing stairs is almost impossible. Lately he is even having issues with getting in and out of the car. Last year, Wendy and I bought a camper to go camping with Jason and Ashley, Jemma and Matt, since they had introduced us to the fun of “Glamping”. Due to his injury, Jason has a terrible time getting in and out of the truck and camper. As I pondered the situation, I began researching options to get him more mobility with minimal stress on him or the family. I found a couple of different options that would work for the car, truck and camper. These units are expensive. So, in an effort to help, I had an idea (that I am sure Jason is opposed to). Since I can’t afford this on my own, and several people I have talked to have expressed interest in helping this family get some mobility back into their lives, I have started a Give Send Go page to cover as much of the cost as possible. According to Tom at the lift company, the lift and base accessories for both the truck and camper will be about $8,000.

Jason is in the middle of his diagnosis process and with God’s favor and blessing, as well as his doctor’s tenacity, they can figure out what is causing this paralysis and reverse the effects. When Jason regains his mobility, we will search out someone who needs (and can’t afford) this lift and re-gift it to serve that person with the joy of mobility.
