**UPDATE**
When this GiveSendGo was originally launched, it seemed impossible to raise the amount of money needed for my first treatment. In the beginning of 2023, things looked bleak. I was very sick with stage 3 breast cancer. I had a lot of pain and swelling and it was hard to complete even the most basic tasks of daily life, including caring for my family. After already fighting cancer for a year I felt so defeated. We were completely broke from fighting cancer the first time. I was at the end of my rope. I was scared that I wouldn’t get to see my kids grow up or see any of our dreams as a family come to fruition. I was worried about Michael--how was he going to raise our four children on his own? At one point I was so sick that when we celebrated our anniversary last year (2023) just walking from the car to the restaurant was too exhausting for me. That whole meal I dreaded the walk back to our car. However, this was also the time when we found out about the doctor who has since then been doing my treatments. You can read the updates on this page to see how the journey has gone. I am doing so much better since I received my treatments. For example, this year we have been able to continue homeschooling and I am able to resume my normal day to day tasks. But we haven’t beat cancer completely yet.
We are now raising money for our fourth treatment. Through this GiveSendGo campaign and other fund raising initiatives we were able to raise money for the prior three treatments. These treatments have been extremely successful and we are hoping that this will be the final treatment needed. We need to raise the remaining amount by December 1st to be able to pay in full before the treatment on the 10th. This cancer fight has been difficult. It has stolen time, energy, and money, but we are not daunted by this. We hope for a future free from doctor appointments, pain, and being sick with cancer. We hope for a time when we will no longer have our family rhythms interrupted and get back to having dreams and hopes for our future together as a family.
We still need your help! No amount of help is insignificant! Every dollar helps us get to the finish line of my being cancer free and remove the specter of cancer over my family. If you cannot give, then please just share the need with others! That is just as important as providing monetary help. We are so very thankful for everyone who has helped us over the last year and a half, and we are so thankful for those of you helping us now.

Help Emily Beat Breast Cancer Again!
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 (ESV)
Emily is the young mother of four beautiful young children ranging from 13 to 4 years of age, and wife to her husband, Michael--recently celebrating their 10th anniversary of marriage. But she is also so many other things too.
In early 2022 she found out she developed breast cancer.
There was tears, fear, and pain that came from knowing that cancer had developed and could potentially cut Emily’s life short. And so with the diagnosis, former things did pass away and life altering steps were taken to treat breast cancer. Due to her underlying health issues she was hesitant to pursue radical surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation treatments that could destroy quality of life and still not effectively treat and cure cancer. Emily sought understanding of the problem and pursued learning about nontraditional treatments the same way she pursues God and other things in her life--with all her mind, heart, and soul.
To the glory of God and His healing power, Emily pursued nontraditional cancer treatment with trusted medical practitioners and was cancer free towards the end of 2022. We thought that death shall be no more at least due to cancer.
However, the cancer resurfaced a couple of months into 2023 and is more dangerous in nature than before. Instead of just one tumor like before, there are now 3 tumors, and the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes increasing the risk of the cancer spreading throughout her body.
Like before, Emily researched to find a more aggressive treatment, because this time there is not much time to act, and her very life is on the line. The same week she received the Pet Scan results she heard about a clinic that does treatments that involve a combination of immunotherapy and cryoablation. Two life saving procedures that can not only the current cancer but help Emily’s own immune system to recognize, attack, and destroy cancer cells. These treatments are not covered by medical insurance and are expensive.
Because of the previous fight with cancer, Emily’s family has accrued debt from the medical bills and cannot afford more treatments.
Emily and her family need your help in raising funds to pursue this life saving treatment.
Bottom line is this—if funds are not able to be raised through this effort then there will be no immunotherapy treatment for Emily. Based on discussions with the treatment center, we estimate cost for the cancer treatments and related expenses may be up to approximately $80,000.The goal is to raise at least $80,000 by the end of May. This timeframe will allow Emily to get her passport and be able to travel immediately to get her cancer treatment if the goal can be met. More than half of this goal will be used to cover the initial cost of treatment (approximately $45,000 to be paid before treatment). However, there will be additional costs associated with the treatments that will need to be covered to include hospital and clinic fees, hotel stays for Emily and a family caregiver, cost for air travel to the treatment center and back home, and any other treatment related expenses, such as medications and supplementary treatments. In addition, the more money raised above the goal will help Emily’s family with paying off debt accrued last year to treat and beat the cancer the first time. This money will also help meet her family’s basic needs, including meeting any emerging financial needs and letting the family spend time together without worrying about those basic needs.
If you are not able to donate to this effort to get Emily treatment for cancer, then please pray for any or all of the following:
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (ESV)
We know that nothing happens without God and that He works all things towards His purposes and for good. We pray that this campaign will show the power of God in providing for Emily and her family in their time of need! Please prayerfully consider donating to this fundraising campaign to help Emily beat breast cancer again!
Wishing you and your family all the best!
Prayers for strength and healing for your family on this journey.
Sending all my love and prayers to you and your family!
Praying for your total healing.
We love you!
Prayers for faithful healing. We love you guys!!

Emily, We love you and are praying for you.

This update has been long in the coming, so here we go. After my first treatment I noticed immediate improvement. I had more energy, less pain and swelling, and one of the four tumors was completely gone. After the second treatment another tumor had died and the two remaining were still shrinking. The third treatment was this last June and since then I have felt like I don’t even have cancer. I am so encouraged that these treatments are so successful
That brings me to today. Even though I feel so much better, my last MRI scan showed that there are still lymph nodes that are showing signs of cancer and the two remaining tumors, although they are small, they are still holding on.
Every treatment so far has been successful. Now hopefully this will be our final treatment. For this treatment we need to raise $18,000 to cover treatment and the cost of traveling
We need your help. There is no amount that is insignificant. Every dollar helps us get to the finish line.
We have had people ask what is the best way to give. Here are some suggestions:
Another very important way you can help is by simply sharing this Give Send Go with others. It may seem small but it will help us more than you know.
If we fail to reach our goal, I won't be able to complete the treatment. Having cancer in my lymph nodes puts me at risk of cancer spreading to other parts of my body. This puts me at risk of needing more expensive and invasive treatments down the road.
We are hopefully at the end of this long cancer journey. If I can finish strong and kill the cancer once and for all, I can get back to my life of raising my children, not having our family rhythms interrupted, being free from pain and being sick, being free from doctors’ appointments, and getting back to dreaming about our future.

I talked to the medical coordinator this week, he explained that I misunderstood the treatment plan. I have to go back for TWO more procedures, but they will be spaced 30 days apart. Which is why it’s more expensive than last time. So the 1st procedure will be the week of the 17th of June.
Here is a break down of cost
Procedure 1 cost is $11,500
Hospital bill 1 cost is $5,000
Travel and hotel are covered by some friends
Procedure 2 cost is $11,500
Hospital bill 2 cost is $5,000
Total cost $33,000
After the garage sale and donations we are at $13,000
So we are just short $3,000 for the first procedure!!!
Here is our prayer requests and our asks for help.
As always I am eternally thankful for everything you all have done so far. We have gone for two treatments already, God has made a way and this is the final push to be cancer free for good, I know he will make the way. I’m already so much better than when we started a year ago, it’s amazing to look back at how sick I was and how far I’ve come. All to the lords glory!

I received the results to my latest scans, and it looks like we need to go back for one more treatment. Over all, everything is working, the previous spots are responding to treatment and the cancer has been greatly reduced, but there is still one more spot that needs to be treated. Please pray that this will be the final treatment and then we can say goodbye to cancer for good. I have been feeling so much better these last couple of months, I’m getting stronger, and having better stamina, I’m having less pain and hardly any swelling, I know the treatments I’ve had so far have saved my life and have given me back life with my kids, but we still have this final push to get over the finish line. We need to raise $20,000 in the next month to get me to that final treatment. I really appreciate all your prayers and help, and I know the lord will provide just as he already has these last two times! We are doing another fund raiser garage sale as well so if you have items you need to get rid of please let me know. Our garage sale is the 17th-19th.
November 12th, 2023
We raised all the money we needed for the procedure through two garage sales and a silent auction. We feel so honored by everyone’s help. I got the procedure this last week and I am home now healing and resting.
October 4th, 2023
After talking to the Dr, we found out that the first treatment worked really well, but my body has stopped responding and needs another treatment. Originally they told us that I would need to come back 30 days after the first treatment, it’s been 4 months, praise God! But now it’s time to go back, they believe this time will be the last, they plan on killing all the remaining cancer. We are very hopeful this will be it. We are going to be leaving at the end of this month or beginning of November. We covet your prayers and we appreciate how much everyone has given already to help us. I will be eternally thankful for the these last 4 months of feeling better and I am confident that the first treatment I received prolonged my life.

It’s been 6 weeks since the first procedure. We are so encouraged by Emily’s progress. The first two weeks were very difficult, but every week since then Emily has been gaining strength and feeling more and more like herself. She has even started cooking and doing mild house work again. That has brought so much joy back to our family. On Thursday Emily will get her third round of blood work and an ultrasound to find out what her progress is. We would like to ask for your prayers that she would have a good update and that the treatment is working the cancer is dying and that soon cancer will be a thing of the past.
June 1st, 2023
Hello dear family, friends, and supporters, today Emily had her treatment and she is now recovering and resting. Overall, the treatment went well but there will be continued follow up diagnostics and scans back home in the coming weeks and months to see how effective the treatment takes. These follow ups will help determine if any more treatments are needed. Please continue to pray for full and total healing and recovery for Emily. The staff at the hospital and the cancer institute were amazing and took great care of Emily. Please continue to pray for Emily and her family as they continue to navigate the coming weeks and months to see if further treatment is needed. Again, none of this could have happened without all of your generosity, prayers, encouragement, and trust! Emily and her family are truly blessed by all of the love, support, and provision in a time of great need! We will update again as needed to keep everyone informed of what happens with the follow ups. Thank you all so much and God bless and be gracious to all of you!
May 18th, 2023
We are so excited to update everyone that Emily’s procedure has been scheduled for May 29th! We are waiting with hope that this procedure will be the beginning of her being fully restored to health. Michael, her husband, will be traveling with her, so please be praying for their travel and the whole family.
Once the procedure is done we will update again with what follow up procedures will be and what her needs will be.
Emily is in a lot of pain right now. She has been struggling the last couple of weeks to be able to get anything done. Many of you have stepped up to help with kids, meals, errands, and in other ways. Every little thing helps and blesses Emily and her family so much! Please keep praying for complete healing and total provision for all of their needs.
