In late April of 2024, Wade and Bekah noticed some swelling around Phoebe’s eye. When it did not recede, they sought further inspection and care for their 17-month-old daughter. In early May, little Phoebe was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Scans revealed tumors in the bones around her eyes, in her skull and skull base, in her spine, rib, pelvis, and a few of the lymph nodes in her abdominal area. The main tumor was located on one of the adrenal glands directly above one of her kidneys.
Left untreated, the oncologists estimated that Phoebe may have had only 2-4 weeks before her body succumbed to the fast growth of the cancer. This family is profoundly thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ for placing the right people in their lives to identify such a fast-spreading cancer, thereby sparing Phoebe’s life.
Sweet Phoebe has concluded her first round of chemotherapy (May 7th). In the coming months, she will undergo additional surgical procedures and rounds of chemotherapy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. You can follow her progress at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/phoebedumond.
We humbly thank you for your prayers and encouragement. Your gifts will be used for Phoebe’s medical care and related family expenses in the weeks and months to come.
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Hi friends and supporters,
Our sincere thanks to all who have given to the DuMond Family campaign so far. As of now, you all have raised $2,500 to help the DuMonds with Phoebe’s medical care and related family expenses.
Today, little Phoebe begins her second round of chemo and will be in the hospital for at least the next 5 days for treatment. Please join us in prayer for the DuMonds, specifically that Phoebe’s chemo treatments will be effective against the cancer, that the chemo side effects (fever and low blood counts) would be minimized, and that Wade, Bekah and kids will acutely experience the peace of God through this time.
For additional updates from the DuMond family, you can follow Phoebe’s progress at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/phoebedumond.
