Desmond DeAndre Robinson was born in Landstuhl, Germany on November 9th, 2006 to Damon and Rachel Robinson, while his parents were stationed in Germany. His name was picked for the old soul they already knew him to be. Desmond, his brother, Derek, and parents were then transferred in Jan 2009 to Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, where Desmond’s father, Damon passed away on November 15th, 2009. Desmond, Derek and Rachel requested to be transferred to Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, to be closer to family. After retiring from the Air Force in 2014, Desmond, Derek and Rachel moved to Litchfield Park, AZ with Rachel’s fiancé, Mark Johnson. Desmond attended Verrado Elementary School from 3rd - 5th grade. He was very good in Math as that was his favorite subject. Desmond was an avid soccer player performing for AZ Benfica Soccer Club. In Dec 2017, Desmond became a big brother to Mark Johnson, Jr, aka MJ. Desmond loved MJ and was very patient, understanding and loving to him. Desmond moved on to Verrado Middle School and Belen Soto K-8 school. Desmond excelled at all of his studies in both elementary and middle school and was known to all of his classmates to always be smiling, very kind to all and famous for his gentle spirit and soul. He was very intelligent and discovered his love for woodworking in 2021 as he became part of the Golden Minds Academy homeschooling curriculum. In 2022, Desmond became an uncle to Eliora Isla Robinson. Desmond loved her with all his heart and could often be found holding her and napping with her after having stealing her from other family members. Desmond was wise beyond his years, a true conflict resolution negotiator and a loyal and dependable son, grandson, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. Desmond was approved and scheduled to attend the West-MEC General Construction course in August 2023. His love for making wood projects was apparent in all of his creations. Desmond rescued Butcher, his German Shepherd puppy, from a backyard breeder in Feb 2023. He trained and loved on him from the first day after having lost his dog, Chynna (18), the previous year, whom he was born after. He became proficient in preparing home made organic and nutritional meals for his dog and was celebrated by many for efforts. Desmond continued to progress in his studies taking on many field trips in nature, photography, science and cooking. He had just finished 10th grade and was looking forward to his construction classes and applying to get a job at Harkins movie theater. He was practicing his driving skills and was a very attentive and responsible driver almost having completed his permit period and gaining his drivers license. Desmond was a special person to many around the globe and a breath of fresh air for all who were down trodden with his quick wit and talent of imitating many voices. He could sing beautifully and was heard whistling to many old tunes from the 40s, 50s and 60s. He loved country music, soul r&b and old school rap. Desmond was a treasure that many enjoyed his company and companionship. Desmond made a decision on July 25th, 2023, to take his own life in a remote area of the desert under a big, green tree. Desmond Robinson will never be forgotten and all will cherish the time they were able to be a part of his life.
