Campaign funds will be received by Joy Foundation of Kansas
Two artists - a writer and a painter/illustrator - are raising money to publish a children's book with a fun and uplifting story. We hope our donors will enjoy supporting real people, in a time when AI is aiming to take over even the world of art. Funds raised will support the illustrator as she brings the characters to life, and provide for the limited edition hardback copies that will be gifted to our donors. There are some administrative costs - scans of the art, and mailing costs - but no other overhead or profit. Donors who would like a receipt for the tax deductible portion of their donation just have to ask. Dance of the Scarecrows is being published by Motherheart Press - the publishing 'arm' of the Joy Foundation of Kansas, which is designated by the IRS as a 501c3, tax exempt organization. Once the illustrations are complete, a paperback edition will be available to the public via Amazon. All Motherheart proceeds support the Joy Foundation, as it supports Catholic cultural initiatives such as Regency Guild English Country Dances, Sursum Corda Polyphony Ensemble, Catholic Academy of Sacred Music, The School of Love, Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, Sancta Maria school, grants to iconographers, sculptors and composers, and more.
