August 3rd: the most serious charge of conspiracy to murder that underpinned the invocation of the Emergencies Act has failed -- dropped by the Crown against two defendants and rejected by a jury for the other two. This is a game-changing verdict and totally reframes the convoy takedown.
Thank you so very much to all who have contributed to this project so far! Your support means we can do the filming and reporting that legacy media won't do -- allowing the full story of the Ottawa Freedom Convoy to be told without fear of editorial interference. This is a next round of fundraising for upcoming field shoots involving multiple locations around this great country and the hiring of a topnotch editor to begin crafting the film. The updated trailer includes new material that exposes the aftermath of the Emergencies Act and what happened when the trucks went home.
A broken foot slowed me down for a couple of months but back at it -- following the tale of a Canadian movement that inspired the world and revealing the powerful forces that worked against it.
We've travelled thousands of miles and interviewed many new characters. Canadians are still traumatized by the violent take-down of the convoy, a blue-collar initiated protest aimed at ending vaccine mandates. It brought hope and unity to a country divided by heavy handed public health edicts and inflammatory rhetoric from our national leaders.
More than two years later, working class protestors are still being prosecuted in expensive trials that require constant fundraising efforts. Legacy media often champions the cause of dissidents from their own political class and causes but are silent about tactics they would otherwise criticise.
At the centre of it all is Tamara Lich, an unstoppable force who still fights for the truckers by headlining fundraisers, criss-crossing the country offering moral support and friendship. She is tireless but there are times the wear and tear begins to creep in. Frequently by her side on these missions is Chris Barber, the trucker whose rig, Big Red transported them to the nation's capital where history would unfold.
Our goal is to premier the film on the third anniversary of the convoy arrival in Ottawa. We would be so grateful if you would come along for the ride!
I bring decades of production, journalism and storytelling experience to this project. My last documentary venture was for Amazon Studios -- a high profile, five-part series called Falling for a Killer. My partner, Jacqueline Bynon has produced documentary series for premier broadcasters and streamers around the world.
Too important to let the regime media set the narrative!
An important film by an exquisite journalist.

The truth shall make you free!
Thank you for your commitment to telling the truth and for sharing the stories of our Canadian heroes.
Ask me for the affidavit to get out of their system.
Strength and Honour.
Excited to see this film! With so much gratitude for all that you do!
