Help CMZ Question Mississippi Politicians On Video

Good ol boy politics runs Mississippi.

And everyone agrees.

That’s how bad it's gotten at the capitol in Mississippi.

It's downright sickening.

Local news takes orders from the good ol boy’s club, listening to lobbyists making millions per year.

Citizens have no idea what happens in the halls of our capitol, because the news won’t show it.

Citizens see no answers whatsoever.

All while career legislators - some in office since the 1990s - still control billions of dollars each year.

How’s that working out?

Our crumbling bridges kill Mississippians, even in 2024.

Will we ever have term limits?

Will good ol boy lobbyists rule forever?

Will Mississippi legislators start in their 30s and stay until their 80s, like they’re doing now?

If so, the good ol boy network will run Mississippi forever.

Like English lords ruled America hundreds of years ago.

Are you OK with good ol boys ruling forever, never having to face citizens with cameras?

When do actual citizens benefit from good ol boy rule?

Most important: who’s teaching Mississippi's youth how politics works?

In the Bible, we are called to be salt and light.

What can you do to answer that call?

Take action.

Join us by donating to a new project sending citizen journalists to question legislators, lobbyists, and media at our capitol, on video, for the world to see.

We’re officially launching citizen-led media in Mississippi.

We’re calling this project:

CMZ (Capitol Media Zone)

The Concept: place video-journalists in the zone of public places at the capitol, like public sidewalks, inside the capitol building, and other public places, then, on video, ask legislators tough questions - questions good ol boy media won’t ask. Questions like: do you consider yourself a career politician? Do you support term limits for Mississippi politicians?

Get the picture?

On the CMZ website, you’ll see and hear politicians in their own words, see their body language, and their facial expressions when asked tough questions.

You’ll be the judge, like it should be.

We’re not asking for interviews.

We’re asking questions.

Mississippians thirst to see what happens inside our capitol.

We don’t need anyone’s permission to politely speak to legislators when they’re walking the halls and talking to lobbyists – the Constitution gives us that right as the freedom of speech and press.

We the people must know: what do our legislators actually think? Are they even thinking on their own?

What extraordinary skills do these career legislators have?

What do career politicians know that we don’t?

Who are all these lobbyists at the capitol?

Who are these people calling themselves “the fourth branch” of government?

Do secret meetings occur at our capitol?

Why do legislators occupy offices for thirty and forty years?

With your help, CMZ video-journalists will ask them.

Again – here’s the question that matters most: who teaches future generations how politics actually works in Mississippi?

If not us, who?

What can you do about it?

Take action in the next few minutes.

If you’ve ever wanted to help Mississippi in a meaningful way, but have never found a cause that really works for you, a cause like an ambitious investigative video-journalism project in Mississippi, one that will question politicians face to face, then you've found your home.

We know you don’t plan on sitting back and accepting good ol boy’s control of government and media. That’s not what you want. That’s not what Mississippi wants. We want transparency.

We want answers.

And we want to see answers given with our own eyes, to judge for ourselves.

When you finish reading this, add your name to the list of action-takers donating to CMZ’s launch, and you will become a lifetime CMZ VIP member. Keep reading though. You’ll enjoy the next part.

CMZ VIP members will have opportunities to vote on (and submit!) questions CMZ video-journalists will actually ask politicians --- you’ll get to shape media, instead of only consuming it.

And you’ll love radical transparency CMZ promises to bring. But a project like this takes huge financial support and will be met with resistance. So today we ask for your prayers and for your action.

The most important time to help is right now, before the 2025 legislative session begins in January. The more video journalists we fund, the more politicians you’ll see on video. So let’s get geared-up.

Here’s what you’ll get by donating to CMZ until January 1, 2025:

Each donation of any amount makes you a lifetime CMZ VIP member, giving you access to our CMZ VIP newsletter and other benefits. CMZ VIP members will also be able to vote on many of the questions CMZ video-journalists ask Mississippi politicians, shaping the media narrative toward truth. CMZ will also hold in-person town hall meetings for CMZ VIP members, where we’ll come together to share ideas and chart new paths for transparency in government. Once you make your donation, text 601-209-5288 with "VIP" so you can be plugged-in for our official launch and begin connecting.

YOU now have a chance to help the entire state of Mississippi!
