Christmas for the Appalachians: Bringing Hope and Joy to Western NC Families

• As the Jesse family from Zebulon, NC, parents of eight children, we know all too well the struggles that come with providing for a large family, especially during the holiday season. Christmas is meant to be a time of joy, love, and togetherness, but for many families in Western North Carolina, particularly after the devastation of Hurricane Helene, it’s a time of stress and uncertainty.
  This year, we are committed to making Christmas brighter for those in need in the Appalachian region of Western North Carolina. Many families are still trying to recover from the impact of Hurricane Helene, and the holiday season can feel overwhelming. That’s why we are launching Christmas for the Appalachians, a community-wide effort to bring hope, warmth, and joy to at least 300 families this Christmas.
  What We’re Doing: We are organizing a Christmas celebration where these families will receive:
  Gifts for children of all ages
• Warm clothing like coats, hats, scarves, and blankets
• Gift cards for essentials
• A hot meal and the chance to enjoy a Christmas party full of love and fellowship
• Our goal is to bring together the community to make sure these families feel supported and not forgotten, especially during this special time of year.
  How You Can Help: We need your support to make this event happen. Your donations will go directly to providing:
  Gifts for children and teens
• Warm winter essentials
• Resources for a Christmas meal and party
• Gift cards to help with basic needs

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go a long way in helping families who are struggling after the hurricane and other economic challenges.
