The Story of Case: Covidpass
On January 24, 2025, Mika Vauhkala officially filed a complaint with the Supreme Court of Finland, challenging the lower court rulings in his case.
This legal battle began in December 2021 when Mr. Vauhkala was denied entry to a Fazer Café in Helsinki for refusing to present a COVID Pass. In response, he filed a civil lawsuit in early 2022 against the Finnish government and Fazer Restaurants Ltd., contesting the legality of this restriction.
The case proceeded to trial in April 2024 at the Helsinki District Court, garnering international attention.

The distinguished French attorney, Mrs. Virginie de Araújo-Recchia, will represent Mika Vauhkala’s case at the ECHR, if needed.
Excess Donations and Contributions
If filing with the ECHR is not necessary or does not require the full €50,000 (excluding taxes), any remaining balance or excess amount beyond €50,000 will be considered a donation or contribution to support Mr. Vauhkala for his hard work for freedom.
Testimonies, the District Court
Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a world-renowned cardiologist, provided testimony on the safety and efficacy of COVID vaccines.
Miss Hanna Nohynek, a leading expert in global immunization and Finland’s health policy, revealed that the COVID Pass was initially a pilot project for the EU Commission and has since become the foundation for the WHO’s global digital health certification system.
What began as a personal legal dispute has evolved into a case that challenges the policies of the Finnish government, the EU Commission, and the World Health Organization, raising critical questions about public health measures, individual freedoms, and human rights.
Despite the case’s significance, the Helsinki District Court ruled against Mr. Vauhkala in May 2024. This decision was upheld by the Helsinki Court of Appeals in November 2024.
Mika Vauhkala’s Compensation Demands
Mr. Vauhkala seeks compensation from the defendants for violations of anti-discrimination laws and human rights protections:
€10,000 from Fazer Restaurants Ltd. under Section 23 of the Non-Discrimination Act for discrimination based on a presumed state of health.
€10,000 from the Finnish government (Suomen valtio/Valtiokonttori) under Article 13 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) for multiple fundamental rights violations, including:
Article 1: Protection of property
Article 6: Right to a fair trial
Article 8: Right to respect for private and family life
Article 9: Freedom of thought, conscience, and religion
Article 13: Right to an effective remedy
Article 14: Prohibition of discrimination
Article 1 of Additional Protocol 12: General prohibition of discrimination
If the court grants the full €20,000 in compensation, Mr. Vauhkala has pledged to donate the entire amount according to the original plan published to his supporters.

Understanding Taxes in Finland
In Finland, individual donations are tax-free for the recipient if they do not exceed €5,000 within a three-year period from the same donor.
However, if a single donation exceeds €5,000, the excess is taxed as follows:
€5,001 - €25,000: 8% tax
€25,001 - €55,000: 10% tax
Over €55,000: 15% tax
For example:
If Mika needs €112,000 after taxes for legal costs, the actual donation must be €131,765 to cover the 15% tax.
If the required amount is €170,000, the donor would need to contribute €201,176 to account for taxation.
Your support in this fight for fundamental rights and legal justice is invaluable.
Keep on! We are so proud of You!
