Goal:
USD $5,000
Campaign funds will be received by Brad Essex
Our friend Brad Essex is having a rough time. Many of you have known Brad since the good ol' Tea Party days of Twitter. He's a hard-working guy who has cerebral palsy, but doesn't let his disability define him. Brad's stuck in the tough in-between spot where he's been told he's not disabled enough to get SSI, but definitely needs job accommodations and many managers haven't been willing to fully understand his limitations and work with him.
Brad was recently laid off from Wal-Mart and is busily applying for jobs and going on interviews but hasn't been hired yet. He's been trying to file for unemployment but has been having technical issues with the website. He needs money for rent and living expenses by January 1st - please help if you can. The minimum amount he needs is $1100 but I set the goal for $2000 to account for processing fees and give him a tiny cushion.
Also, if you are in the Tulsa area and can help Brad find a job, that would be appreciated. There's also the possibility that he could have a discrimination claim against his former employer, so any attorney referrals are also appreciated.
Hope this helps Brad
Good luck bro!
The Lord will provide. Hang in there and good luck.
Good luck, bud. Stay strong. You got this.
Keep your chin up.
Much love, Brad. Hope everything’s ok.
Good luck and God bless ya, Brad
Hang in there, Brad! Prayers up for you.
Good Luck Brad, YOU GOT THIS! Love, Leslie #Sunshine
Merry Christmas and may God Bless you and keep you.
Hey Brad! You and I have never met but I heard you're a cool guy and I want you to have an awesome Christmas.
Hang in there, Brad!

Huge thanks to all of you for your support! Brad is doing some part-time work writing with RedState and still looking for more work. He's also finding his voice as an advocate for people with disabilities. Unfortunately he's still short for rent for this month - if there is anything you can spare to help him, it's urgently needed.
Also, if you are in the Tulsa, OK area and have any leads on employment for Brad that takes into account his physical limitations, or if you know any people who can help Brad navigate any programs that might exist in the area to help people with Cerebral Palsy to find productive employment or other support, please contact me (Jennifer Van Laar) or Brad by leaving a message here or on X.
