J6 Prisoner's Family

My name is Carla Beckley. I'm married to Damon Beckley J6 convicted felon, sentenced to 18 months in prison for what his judge said, "Was not so much for what he did on J6, but what he posted on social media before."

Damon and I are parents to two adult sons and our middle school son we homeschool. We also are trying to keep our businesses afloat as we pursue our entrepreneurial endeavors, and maneuver our way through these unfamiliar judicial proceedings.

At present we are awaiting Damon's date to turn himself into the federal prison bureau, anytime after April 9, 2024. We have entered the appellate process, and need much prayer as we research and file the necessary paperwork in DC. Each step of this procedure requires us to make another trip from Kentucky to DC.

Damon once again finds himself without an attorney because he keeps expecting his attorney to actually represent him in court, and each time his attorney refuses to. He has not been allowed one shred of exculpatory or mitigating evidence to be presented throughout this entire process.  His sentencing attorney had videos showing my husband helping trapped officers get out of the building. He had videos of my husband refusing to go into Nancy Pelosi's office to, "destroy it."  As someone inside of the Capitol was trying to urge him to do. His attorney also had video evidence of my husband trying to calm others, as other people were  shoving him into the Capitol, making it appear like he was rushing in, "Unable to get enough of the action."

I know the Lord has been with us every step of the way on this journey Holy Spirit called, "Riding the wave." I don't know anything about surfing, but I know The Lord has kept us afloat and I know He still knows how to make a dry road of escape through the seas. We have observed over the past several years what can be unearthed as the waves of a storm beat against the land. What shall be unearthed here? One thing we know for sure, a lie can never be true and the truth will never be a lie. False accusations and denial of the truth doesn't change the validity of the truth. Whether these facts are ever recognized by the judicial system of this country we aren't certain, but we gain comfort knowing, we will all stand before the judgment seat of Elohim, facing His justice. Therefore we cling to The Word of God confidently knowing,  "The just shall live by faith." (See Hebrews 10:38). "We shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free." (See John 8:32).

Our number one request here is for the prayer we need to sustain us, but we also are in need of some financial help. It has been expensive traveling to DC.  Navigating the United States judicial system is expensive, especially considering we are not familiar with any part of their system. I was so naive because I believed our government was still, "of, by and for the people" (see The Gettysburg Address). I also, naively believed a person was innocent until proven guilty (see US Constitution). However,   through this process, I was educated by one of Damon's attorneys who let me know that a person was accused, convicted and goes to sentencing,  before he gets to,  "put on the full show," during sentencing. Unfortunately, Damon's final attorney didn't even feel the sentencing was worthy of a show.

Update #2

September 14th, 2024

My husband has been in prison in  Ashland KY since April. He was supposed to go to the camp, but has yet to placed there . Hopefully, he will be getting a re-sentencing hearing soon. He is in the negotiation process, between his attorney and the DOJ on the guidelines of his re-sentencing. We hope he can get on the docket before the Holiday schedule. Regardless, he should be released to home incarceration or a halfway house late January or early February,.

The problem we are facing is, for Damon to be released, he must have a home to go to. We are facing eviction because our landlords, will not allow me to enter into a new lease agreement if my husband is on it.  This week, Damon's counselor asked for his address. They are trying to start the process of his release. Please pray we get favor and peace with our landlords. We are all Christians, so we should be able to work this out without a judge. We have our Advocate (Jesus) at the right hand of the throne of God.

I will try my best to, "Look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my Faith (see Hebrews 12:2). I know the Lord has us. He has never left us, not for even one moment. Sometimes it is difficult  to trust though, when our future is so uncertain. That's what Faith is though.....Right?

Update Update #2 Image
Update one

April 6th, 2024

Well, we finally know. We got the news a couple of days ago, Damon reports on 4/25 to the FCI Ashland, Kentucky, which is a four hour drive, one way.

We are trying to prepare for this, though knowing what and how has been challenging. Please pray I can find work with a floating schedule that I can work through the summer. I'm currently wrapping up my 12 y/o's home school year. We live in the south central Kentucky region near the Nolin Lake area. If anyone has a good lead on work in that area, please message me.

Thanks for being the kind of persons that care. God bless
