Barbara Rybeck dedicated over 50 years of her life to teaching in Sunday School, Junior Youth Camps, and academic education! Sis. Barb was a dynamic storyteller and gifted teacher who touched thousands of lives. She loved creating engaging curriculum and lessons that reached all learning styles. For Sunday School and camps, she would begin with a theme, choose a Bible story, pair it with a practical story, throw in a magic trick object lesson, skit, and song, and end it with a Sunday School Charlie cliff hanger! Her math classes at school were always full of manipulatives, games, and activities to make learning math fun. Of course, each math lesson near a holiday was sure to be an all-out math party!
Barb's life was forever changed at the age of 15 when she was picked up for Sunday School by Sis. McDonald Sr. Through Sunday School, Barb developed the foundation to have a life-long walk with God. This spurred her life passion to guide the next generations to develop a genuine walk with God.
To memorialize Barb's legacy, her children have started the Barbara Rybeck Western District Camp Scholarship Fund. Junior Youth Camp had a very special place in Barb's heart, so each summer, the Barbara Rybeck Western District Camp Scholarship Fund will send students to church summer camps to encourage them on their faith journey!

Sister Barb never knew how much she impacted my life from 1988-1990. Her laughter at our Memorial Day picnics was infectious. Her love for her family inspired me to have my own large family. Sister Barb, You have run your race and I am certain that you heard, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!” Congratulations for making it home. We love you!
So sad to hear of Barbie's passing. She was a good friend in high school. It's been many years since I have seen her. Her picture looks exactly like I remember her. My deepest condolences to her family and all who loved her. She is gone way too soon. Prayers to all.
