Friends, our beloved Anita is fighting the battle of her life due to metastatic cervical cancer throughout the lungs and other organs. We are all praying for a miracle, and we believe wholeheartedly in the power of God to change her story. We know this is not the end, but rather just the beginning and we don’t know what this battle will entail, but we know we want to stand with her and her family in this toughest of times.
Anyone who has known Anita understands what a tremendous gift she is to us all, and we are devastated at the thought of losing her far too early. But we know God in His perfect love has the best plan and Anita is standing on the rock of her salvation in the midst of this storm.
She is a pillar of faith and loving compassion. She is the truest and most loving Mom and Wife. Those of us who are blessed to call her friend have taken so much joy in her bubbly, positive, loving personality. She has always put Christ above all. She is not afraid, and has expressed that she is looking forward to being in His presence when He calls her home. Until that time comes, we continue to ask the God of miracles for healing for Anita.
She married the love of her life, Kenny Burton, 30 years ago and has borne out the truest meaning of what loving commitment truly looks like. Her three children, Drew, Juliahna, and Levi completely adore her as she has loved and cared for them with unwavering devotion. Please pray for them as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time. God is so good, and even though His ways are not ours, we trust His will in all of this.
As her closest friends, family and loved ones, we are asking those who know her to rally around the family to provide some financial support as they journey through this incredibly painful time so that Ken and the kids can completely focus on her and her needs. Please donate whatever you feel led. 100% goes to the family.

Wanted to provide an update on Anita. This is from Kenny.
Beloved friends. Anita is soldiering through her final battlefield with such incredible faith and strength. I am perplexed by so many things. Mainly how she possibly manages to persevere yet another day. Tuesday and Wednesday I noticed a significant change from her “normal” behaviors. She seemed to revive and perk up more than other “good days”. She stayed alert and awake for consecutive hours and insisted I slept with her on that little hospital bed now in our room. I have a foam mattress at the foot of the bed. But she just wanted me to be next to her. It was intimate, tender and super uncomfortable.
This demeanor remained into Wednesday when we got our first care giver shift. I’ve learned that is a very common thing prior to passing away. So I’m on pins and needles as we all are. Today our second shift arrived at 9. I barely woke up to open the door and just prayed a desperate prayer of God please help me. Today’s care giver told me she prayed and asked God to guide her steps and help her minister to his daughter. She has been reading scriptures for the last hour as Anita rest and listens to the life giving words of God.…😮💨 along this tear stained awfully pained path of suffering towards the gate of eternity. God's little miracles are abundant to us. This woman my wife has an army of ministering angels. She is calm quiet and at peace. She has only had a couple morsels of food in the past 3 weeks. She still drinks water. Though less and less as I see her strain to swallow. Her tragic demise does not define anything. Oh death you mocker you dark angel WHERE IS YOUR STING? For death is swallowed up in christs resurrection. Because He lives we too shall live. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of his saints. Her time must surely be short. Oh my heart can’t break anymore. I am surrendered, undone and entirely held only by the goodness of God. That’s all for now.
