Hello,

My name is Amin. On March 5th, 2023, I was wrongfully detained and arrested while on public property in Atlanta, Georgia. Subsequently, I was wrongfully indicted on serious felony charges along with 60 other defendants. On the advice of my attorney, I cannot discuss specifics of the case while it is still ongoing but we are committed to vigorously defending these false allegations in court.

The pendency of these charges has complicated my life, I spent nearly a month in Dekalb county jail before being released, the conditions of which were inhumane to say the least. After being released, I failed to receive all my belongings back and then on my way home I was in an accident that totaled my car. Both incidents caused considerable physical and emotional trauma.

Six months after my arrest, I was notified that a grand jury had indicted me on RICO charges directly related to my wrongful arrest on March 5th, 2023. I really struggled to comprehend why this was happening and what I could do about it. I had never been charged with anything before.

Two years later, I am preparing for the possibility of needing to be in Atlanta (for trial) for possibly three months. I'll most likely not have enough money set aside to support me in terms of housing, food, healthcare, and any other essential living expenses, so I've created this fundraiser to help with this burden.

What's happening with our case has been described as fundamentally unconstitutional as it bucks our right to assemble. Right now more than ever it's important to donate as this becomes a scarily increasing trend across the political sphere.
