Introduction - Filmmaker
Hi everyone, my name is Saturnin. I am an award winning filmmaker from Vancouver, Canada. Previous body of work includes the Throttle Trauma film trilogy, a series of documentaries about the sport bike stunt culture. The 3 films combined were shot in 7 countries and 21 cities over 2 continents. It was a most excellent time creating the series and lifelong friendships.

New Project - Free speech
My latest project American Troll, is a documentary about the current state of comedy and freedom of speech in Canada.

This project started with an idea in 2018, here we are in the final stretch of production/post production and scheduled for release in first quarter of 2024(fingers crossed)

As most know, projects that deal with free speech and free anything face challenging obstacles. On top of that, production had to halt for 2 years due to the pandemic. Quitting was not an option, my parents didn't raise a quitter.

I managed to champion through a lot of closed doors over the past few years working on this film and am very proud of what has been achieved. My focus as a filmmaker is to preserve a time in history with the stories that I undertake. The stories in this film, will live forever and share some insight into a time in our past. Ideally to prevent these cultural scenarios from happening in the future, wishful thinking...

I am looking forward to sharing this documentary once it is ready to come out of the post production oven.

While making this film, I have met so many amazing people from all over Canada and USA. The crew that helped (you all know who you are) was amazing, I would not have been able to do this without them.

A quick film synopsis:
Film centers around a few different Canadian stories that deal with freedom of speech, expensive legal battles, outrage over hair, hecklers at comedy shows and the Canadian human rights commission. I don't want to spoil anything from the project about the stories, so you will have to wait until it is released.
