As most of you know on Saturday, Dec 9, Clarksville had at least 1 EF3 rip through majorly populated areas and neighborhoods. In a matter of minutes peoples lives were turned upside down! Many were injured and six lives were lost in this storm. Massive power outages and destruction have left many displaced and homeless, needing to seek shelter, food and warmth elsewhere. Some have left the state to be with family others have been temporarily placed in hotels for a few nights to help soften the . Many homeowners will need to wait on insurance to come out and assess the damages before anything can even be done or taken from the home. Many cars were also damaged and are totaled from debris and strong winds jostling them around. These areas and neighborhoods look unreal! It was probably one of the hardest things I’ve had to witness. The impact this has had on our community just before Christmas just breaks my heart. With that being said a lot of these families were not prepared for this level of destruction and don't have the funds to get themselves back up on their feet. This is where we come in as a community and do what we can to love on and support the people close to us and our community. I have a deep passion for helping people in need and see a need for restoration, love and support. My friend Brooke Adams and her sweet family were one of the families impacted directly by the tornados. They are safe, Praise Jesus, but very overwhelmed and doing their best to process and navigate what comes with losing their home. To give you a little backstory on them, Brooke and Josh are an amazing military family that reside in the Autumn Creek Neighborhood, one of the many areas hit this past Saturday. They have three children, two here with them and one sweet baby boy with Jesus. Josh and Brooke are currently expecting their fourth baby and also have a dog named Knox. They are always loving on others in times of need and finding ways to serve those they surround themselves with and their community. Now, they are the ones who need to be served. God calls us to be the hands and feet of Jesus and serve our communities the way that Jesus served us. I am hoping to reach people who feel called to bless them with whatever God moves you to do. There are may ways you can serve them. First and foremost prayer! The best thing you can do for others is Pray for them and just love on them spiritually. secondly, if you have the means to donate they could really use financial help. They need new tires for their vehicles, financial help to restore their home and the things inside that are no longer useable, housing for their dog while they are displaced and support with food. I know the family is grateful for any kind of help in whatever form it comes. Every person who prays, donates and shares will be prayed over and we thank everyone for the love and prayers during this time of need. All Proceeds will go directly to the family and they will use it to pay insurance deductibles, repairs to their vehicles and any repair for their home not covered by insurance. Lets get this family back on their feet so they can get back into serving their community! God Bless you all and stay safe!
