Hello, my Name is Corey Brown. I’m an ex-felon. Ex-drug dealer. Ex-criminal. Out of what I just said, I hope you understood the “Ex”. “Ex” meaning I have experience in negative behavior that impacted my community and society, as a whole. What I’m seeing in the streets/hoods/communities/schools of America is beyond anything I saw as a youth. The youth are crying out for guidance. They’re in need of knowledge, applicable skills and thinking reinforcements. Many do not have conflict resolution skills. They do not understand how to consider consequences before their actions. They can’t see “reality” because of the virtual world that they spend so much time being entertained by. So many influences are guiding them towards destruction. They are gradually becoming soulless. Shells of their true selves. I am starting a 3-4hr class, that will travel from city to city, called “Truth To The Youth…Mediation Program”. With this program we will teach kids about conflict resolution, critical thinking, effective communication and REALITY. I need your help just to get started. I’m of the belief that if we care about our children, then we should be willing to pool our money and resources together and do something. We shouldn’t have to depend on gov’t grants, endowments,etc., that have so many restrictions and attachments to them. These are “OUR” kids, not theirs. So, whatever you can help with, to help me get this MEDIATION program started, it is greatly appreciated. Perchance, we can save some lives and start steering our youth in the right direction. BULLYING must stop! GUN VIOLENCE must stop! Thinking that the only solution is to react with, is, ANGER or VIOLENCE, must stop! Thank you🙏🏿
