Tabitha Vandergriff is an active mom of three, who always puts her family first, and has a heart for helping everyone around her. The last few months have raised a challenge for the entire Vandergriff family.

In September, Tabitha went to the hospital thinking she had an episode of pneumonia, after her ongoing cough had suddenly intensified in both symtpoms and severity. That trip resulted in several more visits, doctor calls, and testing, which ultimately led to the diagnosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. At that time, the mass (the size of a canteloupe) had massed in her lung, mediastinal area, and immediately adjoining lymph nodes. Not only is treatment tricky for this aggressive blood cancer, it is non-surgical. After the first treatment plan appeared to be insufficient, family and friends quickly began looking for alternative options. Due to the significant growth, funds are now crucial for Tabitha to begin her next phase of treatment at a facility in Arizona. Tabitha and her husband Scott, flew out immediately following Christmas, to begin her 8 week treatment plan. Scott will be able to stay for 10 days to get her settled, but will then fly back to take care of kids. HERE IS WHERE YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! This treamtent, comes with an $80,000 price tag, along with short term housing fees, and rental car use. There is a $10,000 WEEKLY fee due to the clinic. Additional necessary procedures are paid out of pocket as Tabitha's insurance doesn't cover her in Arizona. In addition, it is required by the program that Tabitha has a caregiver at all times while off site, and for chauffeuring to treatments. While she is blessed to have friends volunteer their time to stay with her for 1 week increments, she is wanting to cover flight costs, if at all possible.

As Tabitha endures her 8 weeks of healing and treatment, many things will need attending at the homefront as well, which require additional funds. During the last month of Tabitha's health crisis, she and Scott were gifted a teacher to oversee homeschooling for their 3 kids. This is not only a blessing, but has helped the children have stability in their education during this diffcult time. Funding would also pay for continued teacher services, which would have a huge impact on the kids.

Through this journey, Tabitha feels confident that God is with her, and knows her journey will be used by the Almighty. She prays that she will be a light to someone else during their medical crisis, just as you and your family are to her.
