Help Recently Widowed Sister with Medical Bills
Dear friends, family & caring people!! I'm Cheryl Miller. I have set up this fundraiser for my sister Joy Faubel. It was back in Jan. of '22, that Joy's husband Matt was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He was unable to swallow, when he was admitted to the hospital. While in the hospital, he found out that he had cancer. They ended up putting a port in, so he could get the medication and nutrition he needed. He wasn't able to work during that time. He was in and out of the hospital during the year of '22 and into 2023. Matt had medical insurance through his job with UPS. His insurance covered a good portion of his medical bills, but left Joy with a remaining balance that wasn't covered. For a year and 4 months, he went through chemo treatments. Joy and their son Jonathen, was there by his side through his cancer journey. On April 18, '23, Matt passed away after his fight with cancer. He had committed his life to the Lord, before the Lord took him home. His passing left such a hole in their family, now that he is no longer with them!! Joy and Jonathen live in Henderson, Nevada. Joy has an office job, which she is able to do from her home. The funds she receives from her job, covers her rent and leaves just enough for food and some necessities. It doesn't cover what she owes for utilities every month. Any size donation that is shared will be a blessing to Joy and Jonathen!! The donations will all go toward medical, utilities, and taxes. If you have any questions about the need at hand, just get with me, and I will try my best to get answers for you. All the funds will go directly to Joy's banking account. I know Joy and Jonathen would appreciate prayers on their behalf!! Jonathen is looking for a job, so pray that he finds one. I know Joy is overwhelmed and stressed right now with all the bills that are coming in!! So if you can help her by sharing any amount, it will be such a help to her!! I thought I would start sharing a little about Matt and our family and what we went through. Here's a pic of him waiting to go to chemo Dr to get his chemo box taken off. He would get chemo 24/7 for 3 days at a time. He has a smile on his face even though he was in so much pain. I helped him get dressed..helped him get his shoes on. He always tried to look strong even when he was so weak and had a smile on his face. After this he would get a shot every 2 days that would absolutely hurt him so so bad. He couldn't get any relief š„

I just wanted to Thank all the people that gave so generously to me. Thank you, thank you..You mean so much to me. I'm sending love to all. It humbles me to know that people really do care. Sometimes, I have felt so lost and alone...and to know, that there are such caring people in my life and possibly strangers. May God bless you doubly.
