Not to be silenced is a film that will be looking at the problem of sexual assault in the church. The story has a very biblical approach of showing the fullness of both God's love and God's justice. 

After a typical evening at youth, minister Nathan Butler see’s that Julia is very attractive and cannot contain himself. He calls her into his office and exposes himself, trying to grab for Julia. This is not his typical behavior as his usually patient and grooms the young ladies in his youth group so that they believe that the sexual relationship is consensual. Julia immediately tells her parents, but everyone is unsure of what to do, especially since Nathan has started a rumor about her. Deciding not to say anything has started to eat away at Julia, she is connected to a group called “Not to be silenced." Investigation leads to the arrest of Nathan Butler, but the church seems to be standing with Nathan and not with the young girls he abused. Nathan is a minister after all and above such type of behavior. After being told to forgive and forget and to allow Nathan to continue doing the Lord’s work, Julia and her family are torn as to what to do.

Reason does finally win out as Julia presses charges against her abuser and he is taken to court. While it is a difficult time for her family, they eventually find some peace in knowing that they are in fact doing what God would have them do.
