My name is Kristina Wimer, and I am reaching out for your support during this challenging time. As a registered nurse with over a decade of medical experience, I have dedicated my career to helping others. Today, I find myself in need of help to fight a legal battle for the justice I deserve.

In 2021, my employer, Valley Health System, implemented a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all employees. Due to my unique medical and pregnancy-related concerns, I requested a reasonable accommodation, which was consistent with my right under the Virginia Human Rights Act. Unfortunately, my request was denied without any meaningful discussion or effort to find a reasonable solution. Despite my dedication and good standing, I was terminated from my position.

What makes this situation particularly unjust is that Valley Health granted accommodations to others with similar roles and responsibilities but chose to deny mine. This action not only cost me my livelihood but has also caused immense emotional and financial strain on my family.

I have decided to stand up not only for myself but also for others who might face similar discrimination. I have filed a lawsuit against Valley Health for pregnancy discrimination under the Virginia Human Rights Act, seeking to hold them accountable for their unlawful actions. However, litigation is expensive, and I cannot do this alone.
