I Never thought I'd have to come this far in my journey with my dog Koi in this situation however, we have reached a trying time in our lives right now. 


My dog Koi is 2yrs old and was given to me by a co worker who could no longer keep him due to her landlord threatening to evict her. I've never had a dog and decided I wanted to experience dog love for the first time in my life. Ever since Koi has been in my life, he's given me so much joy and delight. The happiness within his eyes when he greets me when I come home from work. I can't live without him!

Koi needs to have a surgery on his right knee due to fully tearing his ACL. It happened all so fast! Koi loves to race me up the stairs but this time it was life changing we would come to experience. When Koi made it up the stairs, he cut the corner to go to my bedroom and he let out a terrifying scream. I ran to his aid only to find him limping. I wanted to believe if Koi got enough rest that he'd be back to normal. I refused to believe it would or could be worse.

Last year Koi's other knee became a challenge when he was involved in a dog fight where two large dogs fought him over his bone. Damaging the left knee that now has arthritis. 

koi was seen at the spca today and was given a sedated X-ray. The X-ray came back to reveal that indeed the worse has happened. Koi has fully torn his ACL and is in need of surgery. Surgery that the spca can't provide. I'm struggling financially. Spca told me this surgery would be costly. 

Spca said if my Koi went to a shelter, the shelter would euthanize him. I can't experience that fate for my beloved companion that makes my day so much brighter and happier.

As much as I hate to ask for financial help, Koi needs this surgery and I hope to pay it forward as soon as I'm able.
