This journey has only gotten worse since the incident. Shane lost his job as a result of his injuries and the therapy bills have been stacking up. We found out today that the Prosecuting attorneys have exonerated the man that intentionally hit Shane with his truck in front of dozens of witnesses and security cameras, forcing us to take the matter to civil court. Thank you to everyone that has donated so far. Thank you for all of your support through these tough times.
Shane has been released from the hospital and is now at home. He's still in quite a bit of pain and dealing with constant dizzy spells that make him extremely nauseous everytime he moves. He said he almost feels worse today then he did yesterday, but being the stubborn man he is didn't want to stay in the hospital any longer. If he continues to feel worse in any way we may be taking him back to the hospital, but as of now he'll be home trying to get as much rest as possible. We appreciate all the support and love he's been receiving and will continue with the updates!
Hey guys. Just wanted to give a quick update since the Dr just came and left. Shane has a fracture in his left temporal bone (along with the bleeding in his brain, of course) which also caused his eardrum to rupture, which explains his loss of hearing and some of the blood thats still present in the ear.. He's almost in more pain tonight then earlier, but they are gonna move him to the other unit here in a few. Other then that I guess we'll know a little more tomorrow about when they think he'll be going home.
