Currently I have had my two grandchildren ages 2 and 6 for almost 6 months while their mother is struggling with addiction issues. I need to be able to make decisions for the children and their safety but without guardianship I have no legal authority. It costs minimum $5000.00 just to retain a lawyer and it's the only way I can petition the court for guardianship. I just don't have that kind of money for anything let alone a lawyer. I really believe in my heart of hearts and anyone who knows our situation knows it's in the best interest of the children. If I raise enough money I will be retaining a lawyer if I cannot I will have it all refunded. Thank you for your support and any help you can offer.
