My name is Shane Powell.  I was born in San Diego, California, and have lived in Sonora, California most of my life. I found a barbershop in Central California willing to give me a shot at an apprenticeship. This will complete my licensing requirements in 21 months, and I get income during that time. I have paid $400/800 of the first month's chair rent for the shop and $75/600 of the school's down payment. I have been selling haircuts since High School; and I've finally found a barbershop/school combination that will be affordable.  After being banned from Doordash and UberEats, to say the least the going has gotten tough. I've flipped burgers and worked retail before and have been trying to again. Applications and follow-ups get ignored. I have spent years and hundreds of hours learning a marketable skill I know I can make a living from.  I have a full tool-kit for the job. I want to be able to give back to the community that has helped me so much and securing a lucrative career will make that possible. Thank you for your support!
