Russia Tortures Christians. We are making a documentary about Russia's abuse, torture and murder of Christians.

From the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, stories have mounted from Russian-occupied areas about Christian church buildings being destroyed or taken over, and of the abduction, torture and execution of Christians. What is going on in occupied Ukraine? Russia is a global superpower of disinformation, and the Kremlin has spread false ideas of Russia as a "Christian nation", and a "moral bulwark against the decadent West". Russian leader Vladimir Putin has even embraced these ideas as the real "cause" of the war. In turn, the Russian Orthodox Church has championed the war, and calls it a "holy war". But evidence is mounting from Russian-occupied Ukraine that the main target of Russian war crimes, seemingly even more than Ukrainians per se, is Ukrainian protestant Christians, and most specifically Baptists and Evangelicals.

Our documentary team is already working, gathering evidence and testimony in Ukraine in order to describe what is really happening. We are crafting this important story through the direct testimony of -- mainly -- Evangelical and Baptist faithful who have been tortured and persecuted in Ukraine by the Russian occupiers.

We are a team of 5 volunteers, including two already at work filming in Ukraine, our Ukrainian film-maker and editor with her husband, and one raising support and awareness. Our entire budget at this time is $1300. This is the amount we hope to raise, which would cover the cost of a small camera ($1000), and an external source of storage for the image files ($300).
