Hello everyone! God has brought an incredible opportunity my way, but I wanted to ask for your help in gathering the funds to take a missions trip to Japan.

The why

The greatest opportunity a Christian has with his or her life is to use it to serve God, wherever they may find themselves, whether in their hometown or across the world. As for me and my life, God has opened a door for me to see what the life a missionary is like inside Nagoya, Japan. I’ve had an interest in Japan for many years, and now I have a chance to see if this is a fitting way for me to serve God with my life. Even if not as a missionary, but as someone who is willing to do the work in whatever capacity it takes to either show Christ to others or to assist those who do.

As far as mission’s work or assisting in mission’s work, I believe God calls some, but He also takes volunteers. And I am asking for your help to see what the life of a volunteer looks like.

The what

As for where I’m going, I am headed to Nagoya, Japan to visit a missionary family and their work in the city for one week. Day to day activities will include seeing the city, the language school, the church and more. This is called a “recon tour” because it is specifically designed for those who are wondering what God would have them do with their life or if they are praying about Japan as a mission field. The cost covers the plane ticket and the deposit that gets sent to the missionaries.

And finally, I would ask for your prayers. Prayers for safety, prayers that nothing would prohibit me and others taking this trip, but most especially for clarity on what God would have me do with this opportunity. There will be a lot to absorb and many decisions to make before, during, and after the trip, and I ask for your prayers on being sensitive to God’s leading in these areas.
