Starkey Farmstead visited Maui, Hawai’i September 10-18 to bring monetary relief to fire survivors and small businesses. We spent time recording truthful BOOTS ON THE GROUND coverage of the current environments in Maui. Survivors shared their stories and their dreams with us during those 9 days.

We are asking you to row in our boat 1 MORE TIME as we return to Maui October 19-27. It is our intention to bring financial support to help pay insurance deductibles, home mortgages and property taxes to those in Lahaina who lost their homes and businesses to the fires that ravaged their ancestral lands. Essentially, stopping foreclosure and LAND GRABS from banks and loan companies. Focus will also be put towards helping through a cash donation to the Lahaina “temporary outdoor school” local teachers and parents created in lieu of an actual school! Not to mention the small businesses and farms we will visit and support through ACTIVE TOURISM!

Starkey Farmstead has the opportunity to tent camp in Hana with numerous indigenous Maui residents to learn native plants, culture and cuisine. This will be the time for us to record for historical records the stories passed down around campfires.
