Welcome to "Story Hour In The Park"

"Story Hour In The Park" is an event organized by Miss Mia Tutoring which aims to raise funds for "Children First Uganda" a charity based in the United Kingdom that helps improve the health and education opportunities of children in severe poverty in Uganda, Africa.

When I started on this journey of helping a couple of kids in Uganda, I started getting exposed to the harsh reality of many children living in the slums of Uganda. Their challenges would range from dropping out of school because they couldn't pay their school fees to not having a basic mattress to sleep on. Soon enough, I started feeling my own helplessness in alleviating the burden of these children. This led me to my knees in prayer asking God for a way to help more children. "Story Hour In The Park" was birthed out of that prayer.

As we joyously come together to have fun and laugh with one another, your electronic donation of $20 or more per child will help give a smile, a brighter future and hope to a child in dire need. Give Send Go does not charge any fees, therefore 100% of the fees will be donated to Children First Uganda. They will in turn ensure that these funds serve at creating education opportunities for these children. If you feel led to donate but cannot attend, you are also welcome to donate here. Please note that no cash will be received at the park. All funds should be donated to the link attached.

Thank you to all those putting their hands in the plow to help make this event a reality and especially, our beloved 8-year-old published author who will share her stories with us at the park. Bring your picnic basket, mat, and chairs at 12:00 PM on August 26, 2023, at Chinguacousy Park by the Mini Moo Farm, and let's have some FUUUUUUUNNNNNN :D
