Let's get Easley back on track! I'm running for the office of Mayor in the 11/7/2023 election. I've lived in Easley 34 years, raising two sons, and am a new grandma! ("GoGo")

Like most city residents I've become increasingly concerned with massive developments that are happening faster than our infrastructure can move to support them: roads, lights, schools, etc. It's troubling that most of the development is benefiting outside interests, such as national construction companies, and realtors from neighboring towns, but us citizens are suffering the long waits, poor travel, and frequent tax increases (four since 2020). Yet, we've not gained in amenities or improvements. We've lost a few: recycling, and curbside grass clippings. Ordinances that exist to accommodate these concerns are being IGNORED by our current administration. In addition, the current mayor is receiving assets not sanctioned by ordinance: city cars, trips to conferences, clothing, gas for the unauthorized car.
Many annexations are being approved with little to no regard for those affected, and voices are being silenced. There are too many, too fast.

Our public council meetings and work sessions were live streamed and that was stopped. We want and deserve transparency from our officials. The incumbent promised this during his campaign. Where is it?

We, as Easley citizens, deserve better. It is essential to have credentialed professionals in our city positions requiring specialized training. We've lost two Police Chiefs, and two city administrators, under the current leadership.
My focus is to have the city successfully operate with transparency, be open to the public, focus on smart and responsible growth, with a voice and a place for all.
