Many of you may recognize Hajir from the news and local media as a victim of an unbelievable crime, and articles regarding Hajir’s tragedy still can be found to this day. Hajir is a 39-year-old, a father, government servant, and highly decorated U.S. Army veteran of two wars. His spouse shot him five times, while he worked, sitting in his home office, on 31 December, 2021. After being struck three times in the head and face, Hajir stumbled and crawled out of his office to escape, Hajir’s spouse then switched the aim of the pistol towards Hajir’s son Michael, who was only 20 months old at that time, and proceeded to pull the trigger. Hajir then wrapped himself around his son and took a direct round to the face, at point blank from a .357 magnum. The fifth and final shot was to the back of Hajir’s head ! While lying face down, blinded, Hajir then spent what little strength he had left to draw the attention of the shooter to himself until help arrived. The shooting took place New Year’s Eve night, masking the sound of the gun shots during the fireworks. Hajir then spent over two months in coma. He miraculously survived even though the doctors asked his family numerous times to “pull the plug on him”; however, their faith in the Lord or Hajir’s desire to see his son again persevered. Friends and family kept praying, however everyone was also saying their final goodbyes and against all odds, Hajir woke from his coma. Upon awakening from coma against all odds and medical predictions, Hajir dedicated his entire life to save his son. Hajir still has a long road to full recovery. His wife was released on bond and completely cleaned out their bank accounts, home, and even filed and took Hajir’s tax return signing his name, while he was fighting for his life.

While in coma, his wife blatantly lied about what happened and dragged every part of Hajir’s reputation through the mud as she assumed he wouldn’t survive to reveal the truth. She even stole Hajir’s baby pictures and military awards. Hajir’s wife was then indicted on five counts, three of which for directly pointing the gun at Michael and proceeding to pull the trigger. Following her second arrest which were for offenses against Michael, a judge granted her a second bond. Hajir has been fighting for custody of his three-year-old son Michael for the past 16 months. As his friends and fellow veterans, we are raising funds to be allocated towards his protracted legal battle against his spouse who is out now on three bonds and is fighting for full custody of Michael in order to use him as a freedom token. Egregiously, Hajir’s wife is also being considered for the custody of the very child she nearly killed even though there has been not one piece of evidence, supporting her version of the story. The state of Georgia has levied numerous charges against her for crimes against Hajir and Michael; however, the criminal case may not begin for another year or two.

Hajir came out of coma and returned to a house empty of most of his possessions to include his service dog Leo, medals, childhood photographs, most of his furniture, all of his savings, and other possessions. As months passed Hajir was forced to liquidate what little he had remaining in order to raise funds to save Michael. Most of these donations will go towards payment of his current legal bills and the remainder will go towards his future legal bills. Hajir is the type of person that one can always rely on and will give you the shirt off his own back if you ask for it. He has very proudly always been self-sufficient and hates asking anyone for anything; however, in this battle we are trying to help him get the support he needs from us because it is painful to watch his son suffer so much from all of this. We appreciate any amount that you can help him with. Any remaining funds will be donated to other charities.
