Hello, we are Friends of the Pines Trailer Park in Bradenton Beach, Florida.

The residents found out in January that their beloved 87 unit Park has been put up for sale for $16,250,000.

This is a 55 and older park. Although the park residents are trying to buy it, many are on a fixed income and have extended themselves fully, leaving a significant gap in reaching for their goal.

For many of our park residents. Their park is their only home, for others it represents their life savings.

If the park were to be sold to developers the bulldozers will leave the residence not only without a home, but without resources to start anew.

That’s why we feel it’s imperative for us to meet our goal and it’s deadline.

We also feel that our Park and community are an important piece of Bradenton Beach history. Established in the 1930s it served both as a camp for circus performers and for baseball winter training. Residents of Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, Anna Maria, and visitors from all over the country have strolled through this lovely park and been enchanted by its creatively diminutive gardens, unexpectedly delightful pride of place and ‘Old Florida’ charm. Some of our current residents have been in the park for generations.

Friends, we know that you all know this is a very special place and we feel sure that you’d prefer to see it remain with us than be replaced by yet another row of hotel houses.
