Hello all, my sister-in-law, Anna and her husband, known to you as Robert MacDonald, are some of the most kind hearted and loving people you’ll ever meet. They spend all their time running a small cleaning business on top of working fulltime these two still find time to have an active role in their nieces and nephews lives. She is the go to sister and aunt in her family whenever anyone is sick, in trouble or needs help. To be the one asking for help is not normal for her. Anna also regularly rescues stray cats and dogs, then rehomes most of them. She had hoped to get back into chickens, but must now postpone those plans.

Anna is a doula as well and her passion is supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, health, and beyond. She is a creative, caring soul, who loves to make art in her spare time.

Unfortunately, Anna and Robert have suffered with infertility for 12 years, Anna’s doctor discovered she had a tumor in her uterus in Feb 2023, and recommended a routine procedure to remove the tumor and thin out the lining of her uterus. 3 days after this procedure was done and while still recovering, the surgeon called them in early for the follow up report. The women's clinic had received a biopsy report stating that Anna had stage one uterine cancer.

The treatment plan we chose is progesterone therapy, which is a standard option for early stage cancer and for someone as young as Anna (mid 30s) who hopes that this would treat the cancer and save her fertility. She also used a holistic approach to healing, drastic change in diet, high dose vitamins, etc. Unfortunately, this is very pricey, costing roughly $12,000 for their first round of consultations and additional testing for this type of treatment. As well as mounting medical bills since her gallbladder surgery late in 2022.

Sadly, their insurance does not cover getting the vitamin treatments, change in diet, specialist consultation, regular co-pays, supplements, travel for treatments, and mental health treatments etc

Update:

Anna was declared all clear and in remission in Dec, 2023. Since then she has been working on recovery, rebuilding her health, and unable to work. Having had cancer and other health issues, along with side effects from several infections and the cancer medications has been challenging. Some of these issues are severe neck pain which regular Chiropractor care has worked to alleviate. She is also dealing with serious adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalance issues and her mental health.
