Please help this couple; prayers & even $1 over the course of 1000 people is better than nothing. In the end we all live on prayers, sometimes a little more help is just sometimes needed.

Pa & April (mid 70's) suffered a devastating loss of their entire home and losses to vehicles in an electrical fire on 10/11/22. Both are with health and ambulatory issues. April was spared because she chose to leave the home w/ Pa on an errand, not knowing a fire was about to happen, otherwise she likely would not have been able to get out safely. A neighbor did run into the house looking for her, not knowing she had left. Physically they are ok, the animals were also thankfully spared. However they have nothing now. They do have a piece of property, that was offered that they will be staying on temporarily in a small travel trailer. Winter is coming and they do live in a moderate to heavy snow zone. This couple, whatever you can give in both prayers, good words, your stories with hopefully the good ending and even $1 will be so grateful...just knowing people care in one way or another.

The insurance coverage is not a replacement policy and so will only cover what the home is worth minus depreciation and maybe up to policy limits for personal belongings. The home was an older single wide so the proceeds from the insurance are not expected to be much. There will be many costs that there will be no coverage for:

An electrician to assess the lines to the well pump as well as lines that will connect to a future home.

Certain areas of cleanup/removal (back hoe/blade, diesel for those who will/may volunteer their equipment/hours)

Animal food/new dog pen

The costs associated with the purchase a new home from what the insurance will not cover (site prep, new home, even if used mfg or a larger and more permanent RV)

Clothing only because I don't know what will be covered when but they have none now

Immediate food, only because I don't know what will be covered now

Unforeseen expenses. If you have lost everything, you know.

We as a family will pull together to make sure the clean up is completed but financially we cannot help them in the way that is needed. By time this is all said and done, out of pocket costs can be anywhere from $30k-$100k...we just don't know right now. Their home was paid for and the thought of them having to have a mortgage on a limited income just really bites.

Please anything, prayers, $1. They have already had a rough year and do not deserve this, like others don't.
