Support Holly in Her Fight Against Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We are reaching out today with heavy hearts, seeking your support for Holly, a beloved daughter, friend, mother, sister, aunt, and so much more to those who know and love her. Earlier this week, Holly was unexpectedly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of cancer that will require her to undergo intensive treatment in the coming months. While many of you may have already heard the news, we are now asking our friends, family, and community to come together to raise financial support for Holly and her husband, Ben, as they navigate this challenging journey.
As some of you may know, Holly and Ben have faced many hardships, including the loss of their daughter, Chantel. Despite these challenges, Holly and Ben have shown incredible strength, resilience, and love. Holly, in particular, has spent over 20 years as a dedicated nurse, offering comfort, care, and hope to countless others in their times of need. Now, it's our turn to be there for her.
While we can not take away the pain or stress that this diagnosis brings, we can help ease the financial burden that comes with it. We know times are tough for everyone, but even the smallest contribution will make a meaningful difference for Holly and Ben, allowing them to focus on health, healing, and recovery.
Holly has always been someone to step up when others need help, offering her love, time, and energy without hesitation. Let’s come together to show Holly and Ben that they are not alone in this fight.

Update #2
September 6th, 2024
Thank you all for your generosity and continued support. Holly has now completed her chemotherapy treatment and continues to stay in the hospital for additional therapies, such as blood and platelet transfusions. Hopefully, these transfusions will help boost her platelet count, which has been impacted by her cancer and treatment. Holly's CT scan returned normal, and her kidneys are functioning strong, which is fantastic news. Although she would prefer to be at home, she is in good spirits.

Thank you all so much for your incredible generosity! In just under two weeks, we've already raised over half of our fundraising goal, which is truly remarkable. Holly has provided an update on her treatment plan that I’d like to share with you all.
Starting on Wednesday, Holly will be hospitalized for about a month as she begins intensive chemotherapy. Due to the nature of her treatment, she will be in isolation and unable to have many visitors. Leukemia affects her blood and bone marrow, which means her immune system will be very weak, and she won’t be able to fight off infections easily. For her safety, limiting visitors is vital to giving her the best chance of recovery.
Both Holly and Ben are deeply grateful for your continued support, warm messages, and prayers as they navigate this challenging journey. We’ll keep you posted with updates every couple of weeks. Thank you again for all your kindness and generosity!
