I was a student in the University of Tennessee's Counseling Master's Program from August 2022 to Jan 2023. I was blocked from starting my practicum despite earning 3A and a B+. I was bullied by the faculty. They insulted me and disparaged my character because I refused to give up my Buddhism or agree, that I should be ashamed for being white. I'm fighting to get my tuition back, and prevent anyone else from being harmed by bigotry in the Counseling field. It’s time to say NO to racist Critical Theories being pushed in counseling and at our Universities.
