We are sadly requesting donations and your prayerful support for David Darnell, wife Karen, and the family.

In January, David was diagnosed with cancerous tumors in his spine.

David has been unemployed since December, and most if not all of Karen’s time is occupied with David’s care. Expenses for David’s care have gotten out of hand, and their income has mostly dried up. On top of that, David was left without insurance after an unfortunate business deal.

The medical journey has been difficult. At that time of his diagnosis, David was in extreme pain, but was given a 6-8 week wait time frame for further diagnostic scans and treatment. Either by lack of knowledge or incompetence, his healthcare professionals failed to send him to a cancer care unit within their own system 65 miles north, instead of having to travel all the way to Portland for speicalized treatment. By what seems like divine intervention a nurse happened to tell Karen about the cancer care facility. She immediately took David to the ER where he was admitted and finally received the necessary pain medication and diagnostics over the course of 8 days. But now with so much time passing, much suffering and great heartbreak he is facing the reality that the cancer has spread to other regions of his body, mostly concentrated in the bones.

David is in a battle for his very life. He has gone through multiple rounds of radio and chemotherapy, and the effects have left him with extremely painful wounds.

If you know David and Karen, you know they are not strangers to battles. They’ve lived their principles and values that promote our God given rights to life, liberty and freedom. Their love for God, country, family and each other is ever present.

David and Karen have spent so much time fighting for us over many years and it’s time for us to step up and help them manage through this most difficult battle.

Your prayerful donation will be used to offset the lack of income, growing medical bills, medications, therapies and personal daily expenses. The trips to hospitals and clinics are lengthy, and even gas money is tight.
