Campaign funds will be received by Kimberli Crespi
Due to the cruel effects of advanced Parkinson’s disease, Kim Crespi’s health has recently taken a precipitous turn for the worse – to the point where she now requires around the clock in-home care from trained professionals.
Unfortunately, the state of Kim’s financial health is equally dire.
Over the last 17 years, Kim’s and her imprisoned husband David’s life savings have been exhausted by lawyers’ bills and medical expenses – and Kim has no new sources of income to draw upon. (www.crespifamilyhope.org) At age 63, she is too young to qualify for Medicare. Since she owns a house, she has been denied Medicaid. And because she was a stay-at-home mother both before and after the tragedy that took Tessara and Samantha’s lives – meaning she was not employed during those years -- Kim also does not qualify for disability.
As a result of all this, Kim and her three surviving children are faced with an agonizing dilemma: either they and their friends must quickly find a significant number of new benefactors who can help cover the monthly cost of Kim’s 24/7 in-home care or Kim will have to sell her beloved house and she will be forced to move into a residential care facility.
Either way, it is going to be expensive.
For example, providing Kim with around the clock in-home care plus paying for household expenses (like the mortgage payment, groceries, electricity, etc.) will cost approximately $20,000 a month, or $240,000 a year. And 24/7 care provided by a residential facility will cost an estimated $11,000 a month, or $132,000 annually.
Not so long ago, when Kim needed “only” six hours a day of in-home care, a close circle of incredibly generous friends created the Crespi Healthcare Trust and that trust paid for the majority of Kim’s care. But now that Kim’s health has deteriorated so precipitously and she requires 24/7 care, the Crespi Healthcare Trust needs many new benefactors to help Kim pay for her urgently needed medical care.
We hope and pray that you will consider becoming a supporter. Please know that regardless of the size of your donation, Kim, her family, and her devoted friends will be eternally grateful for your generosity.
My husband and I are friends with Jeff and Rhonda Moates and would like to help out
Prayers for. Kim and her family
Kim, Sending love and praying for you. While I don't know your specific needs, thankfully God knows exactly what you need and I know He is with you always.
My donation is being made as a result of reading your family story in a newsletter from David Carmichael about how an antidepressant drug has caused such a tragedy for your family. David faced a similar situation in Canada and was thankfully able to get the authorities to accept that he was innocent due to support from professionals and the community.
Crespis are a wonderful family! So sorry this has happened
Sending hugs and light our friend

Our dearest Kim: Oh how we have missed you. We have moved to Idaho and the move has helped with the loss of our Rich. We are so sorry that you have this new cross to bear, and we will pray fervently for you and your family. What we would give to hug you again. Love you forever and a day, Rick and Sarah McPeek

Thank you all! We are reading your messages to Kim as they come in. She thanks you and sends her love. We are so thankful for your prayers and assistance at this hard time. Your donations have been helpful in funding Kim's current care needs and we appreciate your inquiries, continued assistance financially, and prayers.
We are currently needing to look at a skilled nursing level of care as her disease progresses and will post her latest update as soon as possible, but we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
