How does Copelod incentivize local authentic speech?

Have & Want Variables: A novel communication system of Have & Want variables focused on local areas that create a feedback loop to cultivate a curated local language of identity and ambition.

Public & Private Profiles: Dual profiles—public and private—obscure profile info but share Have & Want variables, masking identity while advertising core values.

Map Searching: A map-driven search for users via their Have & Want variables.

Location Obfuscation: Hide your location within a 5 mile radius of your true location. Combined with a public profile, users can maintain their privacy while still assuring other users that they are a real person in the local area.

Gap Analysis: Aggregate gap analysis of Haves and Wants across regions for a sharp snapshot of a community’s soul—find your fit or what’s possible elsewhere.

Professional governance: Users can coalesce their collective ambition into reality through a new streamlined version of either a representative democracy or a simpler Athenian democracy to govern an offline/online hybrid organization. No more dictator admins.

Emergency Partners: Need help? Alert any trusted connection (e.g. your neighbor) with a single button and send them a default message expressing your need. Alert  recipients see your location and can forward your message onto their emergency partners to create a domino effect of help. Instead of waiting for first responders, get a crowd of support right away. 

Who created Copelod?

I'm not rich, but I have travelled enough of the world to truly understand evil. I lived for 3 years in Beijing, China alongside the local people and came to understand the effects of insidious corruption on a community. When I stood up to Chinese authoritarians during the pandemic, I was interrogated at a police station and almost put in prison. A moment that struck my mind with such terror that I became temporarily blind. Seeing the tendrils of that same degradation taking hold in my own home country is unbearable.

So I turned fear into action with Copelod. Instead of centralizing salvation onto a single person like many others attempt to do for themselves, I want to raise every person to the height of their power to entirely redefine the stage and upend accepted paradigms of strength and weakness.

Practically speaking, I am competent and motivated enough to manage Copelod's development. I have a background in IT software development and have already mapped out the prerequisite documentation required to begin dev work (View demo here). Emotionally, I have cultivated the stamina to carry a difficult task to fruition through my challenges as a former business owner and solo-pilgrim.
