Today is a very special day. After spending 412 days in jail, I was released on August 16th of last year. However, my first day out was with two ICE officers with me all the time, and I also spent several hours in a holding cell at JFK airport. So, even though I was physically out of jail, I did not feel free at all. After a long night on a plane to Copenhagen, Denmark, I was finally let go. No more handcuffs, no more ICE officers. I got my phone back and could finally call my family and friends, feeling truly free. I will never forget that moment and there are still many emotions attached to it.

Things are going really well with the book "412 Days" that I wrote in jail. The editor who worked on the book said it is a very powerful and prophetic book, likening it to a "modern-day Apostle Paul story." A book that will have a major impact on advancing the kingdom.

Yesterday, on 4/12, I finished the 412 Days book. How special is that (412-412)? Normally, I would not read too much into it. But try reading this here…..

Yesterday, I shared the post below about how I had just finished the last chapter in my 412 Days book. When I shared it, someone said, "Torben, are you aware it is 4/12 (April 12th) today?" And I was not.

If that was the only time something like that would happen, then I would just say, "How funny is that," and not put more into it.

But this is far from the only time something like this has happened with this book. It has happened 4 times in jail while writing the book and 3 times after I came out working with the book. Like one day in jail, I wrote a chapter called: "My God, My God" from Psalm 22, something Jesus quoted on the cross. Later that same day, I found out it was Good Friday, something I did not know. And it was like that several times. As I came out, this has continued like yesterday.

I have heard the same from those working with the book. They have had similar experiences.

The book has in many ways become a prophetic book, and I have not experienced anything like this before with the other books I have written. So there is truly something special with this book. As I said, I am normally not a man who sees signs everywhere, but as this happened again and again, I cannot just put it off as just a coincidence.

Last chapter in the "412 Days" book

Hope you are all doing well.

I am excited to announce that I have just finished the last chapter in the book I wrote in jail called "412 Days."

The book was written in my cell, except for the last chapters that I completed after my release. Now that we have come this far, it was time to write the final chapter titled "The Road Less Traveled."

In this chapter, I share how we ended up here in Mexico and provide new details about my case. Lene also shares some of her experiences on this journey.

The reason we are writing this final chapter now is that we have finished the other chapters, and the time has come to conclude the book so we can begin the process of getting it printed.

It will still take a few more months, but we are getting closer and closer.

I am truly excited about this book and would like to give you a little taste from one of the chapters:

From chapter eleven - God poured out His Spirit in the Jail:

“I had tried to bring them Jesus, but they did not seem interested, and I had somehow given up. I still prayed and read the prophetic word daily, but I struggled every time I came to this part about the prison and God pouring out his Spirit—that it would start here. I had faith for America, but will it start here? 

But then, one day, something extraordinary happened that I will never forget. It was one of those moments you know will be part of your life forever: God poured out His Spirit over the prison as the word said. It started with me sitting on my bed in my cell reading the Bible, and suddenly, I stopped and noticed something was different.

At first, I was unsure what it was, but then I noticed it was quiet outside. The TV is usually always on, and our TV is very loud. Being locked up, the TV has irritated me a lot. First, it was so loud there was no way to escape it. And then it’s in Spanish, so I didn’t understand a word of it. It has tortured me because there is no place you can go to be quiet if you need that, and you often do.

But on this day, it was suddenly quiet. I stood up and went out my cell door. My cell is on the second floor with a good view over the whole dorm. We have eight cells downstairs and eight cells upstairs. There I stood and looked over the entire dorm, and I saw the TV was mute because everyone was standing in a circle on the floor with their heads bowed, and two inmates in the middle of the circle. One was praying for the other.

“Woah! What is this, God?” I asked. “God, what is this? What is happening here?”

I’d been in this dorm over fifty days at the time. I’d tried to share Jesus. I’d even tried to invite people to a church they have every second Sunday, not because it’s actually very good, but that is the only opportunity we have here, and normally there are only three to five people there, from all the dorms where there are about 150-200 inmates. And I have never seen anyone in my dorm who has joined me in church. 

I have never seen people in here praying or talking about God or reading the Bible, but then this. Everyone was just standing around two people and all were praying. And it was like a very special and holy moment. I felt it. I felt God was in this and something bigger than us was happening here. But what was it? And it's like God said to me, “Now Torben. Now Torben is your moment. Take it.” And I thought, “My moment? No God. You know I’ve tried. I’ve tried again and again. God, it’s hard to be here and you know how I have tried and no one wants to listen. And I just want to leave this place and go home,” but God just kept saying, “It’s your moment, take it.” 

Yes, that was just a small taste of the beginning of an amazing revival I experienced there, where many were baptized, set free, and it changed everything for me.

I truly believe this book will be an important book as it is so unique in many ways.
