Berea Academy is a nonprofit bringing together quality instruction, skilled leaders, and homeschooling students. Offering classes for Kindergarten - 12th Grade, Berea partners with homeschooling parents to create a classroom experience for home educated students.

Due to inflation, the increased cost of living, and the changing needs of our community, the 2023/2024 school year is challenging us in new ways. Families are struggling to afford the cost of supplemental education. Our instructors make so many sacrifices to be part of these children's lives. We are launching our 23/24 year on time, thanks to our financial reserves. We are asking you to help us maintain our financial stability and keep the doors open this year and for many years to come.

Update!
To start the 2023/2024 school year, our Board of Directors acted confidently and faithfully. The needs in Tier One below are being managed by utilizing saved funds. Such provision allowed Berea Academy to begin the school year. Funds donated during Tier One will replenish our savings, creating a healthy future.
Berea Academy is facing a budget shortfall of $16,500. We see this goal as the first step, Tier One. Help us love and support these amazing kids. Your donation will:

1. Pay for the rental fee in our building space, then:
2. Pay for the insurance needed to operate responsibly, then:
3. Pay instructors so that they can lead smaller classes without the burden of financial loss, then:

When we successfully raise $16,500, we will raise our goal to the next level! Our Tier Two goal expands on the previous goal of $16,500 to $27.000.
Tier Two continues the good work by:
4. Pay the administrators for their essential work running the academy, then:
5. Pay staff members to join classes that have 9 or more students enrolled. The additional staff will serve as a classroom assistant, ensuring each child receives personal instruction.

After reaching our goal of $27,000, we desire to help our dedicated families. Our Tier Three goal expands from $27,000 to $42,000.

Tier Three, the "Blessings" tier, is all about our students and their families. All families enrolled during the Fall semester of school year 2023/2024 will be offered 20% off their tuition fee for the Spring semester. Additional funds will establish a scholarship fund for future students.

We have been repeatedly called to proceed with the 2023/2024 school year in Faith and boldness. That calling leads us to Tier Four.

Tier Four - Boldly Asking: Tier Four goal expands from $42,000 to $70,000. A total of $70,000 provides for all the needs of 2023/2024 and the operating/administration costs of 2024/2025!

Where are these numbers coming from?
Our organization is entering our 7th year of operations. Our history tells us how much it costs to run this program. We are blessed with a very reasonable rental fee. Unfortunately, insurance is expensive. We also consider the cost of providing classroom essentials, such as whiteboard supplies and cleaning supplies.

Over the years, we have continued to strive for adequate compensation for our instructors and staff. To date, half of the administrative needs are completed through volunteerism. We anticipate this level of dedication to continue in 2023/2024.
