On their third night of vacation on the island of Kauai, first-time parents Aubrey and Justin Pavlacka experienced a pregnancy emergency that has left them hospitalized. Aubrey started feeling contractions two days shy of 21 weeks so decided it would be good to get checked out. The hospital informed her that she was, in fact, nine centimeters dilated and would likely deliver within a few hours.  Instant heartbreak ensued and the first-time parents cried out to Jesus for a miracle to keep their baby girl in the womb.

As Justin and Aubrey fight to keep their baby girl (which they have lovingly named Timber Kai) alive and inside the womb, their past week has been a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least.  Each day is filled with tears, prayers, small miracles and devastation all at the same time.  Doctors in Kauai informed them that if they can make it to 22 weeks (Tuesday, June 8), they will be airlifted to the island of Oahu, which has a fully equipped NICU unit that can help keep Timber alive if she were to be delivered early.

We are calling on all prayer warriors to help us in praying for a miracle!  The specific prayers that are in current need are as follows:

  • Aubrey's contractions stop, and her bleeding and leaking of fluid immediately ceases
  • Protection over Aubrey‚Äôs womb - with a dilated cervix there is potential for infection
  • For Timber to go further up into Aubrey's stomach cavity and out of the birth canal¬†
  • Strength, perseverance, and discernment in decision making for Aubrey and Justin
  • Timber to maintain a steady heartbeat, and stay in her mom's womb for as long as possible
  • Safe transportation to Oahu when the time comes
  • Housing options for the next few months while they live in Oahu
  • Protection over Justin's electrical business he recently started back home in Colorado

Thank you so much for praying for this family!  We strongly believe in the power of prayer, and know that God can move mountains.  The Pavlacka’s have an enormous impact on everyone they come in contact with; they are caring, compassionate, loyal, and hardworking.  They love the Lord and seek to serve Him in everything they do.  Through this experience their unwavering faith has been tested, but never faltered.  They are confident that Timber has a bright future, and they believe that the God of miracles has a plan for her here on earth.

As we all know, overnight stays at the hospital are very costly.  Throw in special dietary needs, vitamins, supplements, additional medical testing, air transportation to Oahu, and housing for the next six months, etc, it’s easy to understand why our support matters to these newlyweds.  In addition to your prayers, please consider donating to this fund.  Any amount, and any prayer lifted are greatly appreciated!

Aubrey and Justin are focused and determined to do everything they can to save their baby,  and with our love, prayers, and financial support they have the backing they need to keep fighting for a miracle   Lord God, we know you hear our prayers! Thank you for being close to the Pavlackas amidst this awful storm, and thank you for showing everyone how the Body of Christ shows up!

Sweet Baby Timber

First and foremost we want to thank everyone for their donations and continued prayers over Aubrey, Justin and baby Timber in the past week.  It has been incredible to see and feel the power of prayer, and for the Pavlacka family to witness your financial generosity.

We have the unfortunate obligation to let you know that baby Timber met her parents yesterday afternoon, a few hours before she went to be in the arms of Jesus.  Here is a little of what Aubrey shared with us earlier today:

"Yesterday (6/8) at 2:45pm our sweet Timber Kai Pavlacka made her grand entrance. She weighed 373 grams. We held her and watched her cry, suck her thumb, and yawn. When they tried to transport her to the nicu in Oahu and during that process, Justin noticed she was getting uncomfortable and we decided as a family to bring baby Timber back to mama. Until 8:50pm we got to enjoy and love on our sweet baby before she went to be with Jesus. Doctors told us we would only have 30mins-1 hour with her and we got our sweet baby for over 6 hours! They told us her time here would be labored and taxing on her body and it wasn't, she was just a happy baby in our arms. We will never be the same. We hope you are forever changed by her too. ?"

Truly, all of us are forever changed.

As we continue down the path of sorrow, pain, confusion, and heartbreak, we are also reminded to be joyful in knowing that Timber didn’t suffer.  She will always be remembered as the strongest little girl we have ever known, and Justin and Aubrey now have a sweet little angel watching over them from above.

As the Pavlackas attempt to move forward, here are a few things they need continued prayer for:

Please continue to pray for them as they navigate through the pain of these moments.
Pray for protection over their minds, bodies, and souls.
Pray for peace that transcends all understanding.
Pray for them to remember every moment with Timber in their arms.
Pray for Aubrey and Justin's families who are navigating this thousands of miles away.
Pray for protection over Aubrey's womb now, and for the future.
Pray for rest.

"Jesus wept."  - John 11:35

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4

We have hope in the name of Jesus.

Update #1 - 6/8/21

Hello all of you prayer warriors;

We wanted to post a brief update as we have all been praying so hard for this family of three. We have all been awaiting this day for the hope of Aubrey, Justin, & Timber Kai to be airlifted to the island of Oahu. Unfortunately, they were not airlifted today due to circumstances regarding continued complications. However, sweet Timber is resilient and Aubrey is still
fighting to keep their sweet baby in the womb.

Please continue to pray for:
Aubrey’s health and protection over her womb.
Continued strength, perseverance, and discernment in decision making as they are having to navigate so many ups and downs, with so much unknown to still face.
Peace and comfort over them as they are emotionally, mentally, and physically drained.
Sweet Timber to continue to maintain a healthy heartbeat and to continue fighting with her momma.
Protection over Justin’s electrical business that has been placed on hold after recently embarking on this journey of starting his company.

We cannot thank you all enough for all of the financial support you have given them. But more importantly, the amount of love and prayers that every one of you has provided for them during this difficult time. It is truly amazing and so comforting to know how many people are constantly keeping them in their prayers.

Ecclesiastes 11:5
"Just as you do not know how the life breath enters the human frame in the mother's womb, So you do not know the work of God who is working in everything."
