Lawson was born on August 26, 2020 with an extremely rare medical condition. Her body does not make enough platelets, white blood cells, or red blood cells. This is called Bone Marrow Failure. She has been receiving transfusions of blood, platelets and other medical treatments to sustain her life. She recently started getting illnesses and infections involving her access ports, as well as other sites due to her inability to fight off germs and organisms found in every day life. For this reason the doctors at Shand's Hospital in Gainesville Β  Florida, in consult with Boston Children's Hospital have decided to keep her in the hospital and to prepare her for a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. Lawson's big sister Peyton, age 4, is being tested to see if she can be a donor. As soon a match is secured, Lawson, her parents Jessica and Samuel, Jessica's parents, and big sister Peyton will be transported to Boston to start the process for the transplant. The family will need to live in Boston for several months while Lawson undergoes this life saving and curative treatment. Your generous donations will help with substantial medical expenses and to secure and maintain this sweet family in housing that will allow them the needed isolation bubble necessary to shelter Lawson and her family from potential infections while she receives her bone marrow transplant. Most importantly, the family and their loved ones ask for your prayers as they care for sweet baby Lawson, whom God has blessed them with.Β
