I apologize that I have not posted an update in awhile. There really hasn’t been much to report during the slow, daily grind of regaining strength and mobility; however, Colleen and her son, Emery, have just come down with a terrible flu. Colleen is very, very sick. She said she feels like she “can’t catch a break”. She’s extra sad too because our precious, most-adored grandmother just passed away in Chicago and she won’t be able to attend the services. Thank you for continuing to lift her up!
Colleen has been so blown away by the kindness and generosity of everyone who has given on her behalf. THANK YOU!!! Seriously, THANK YOU!!! She said that she has not felt this loved and taken care of in a long time. To be thought of and poured into, especially during such a difficult time, truly shifts perspective and ushers in gratitude. Thank you all for rallying with me for her and standing and saying COLLEEN, YOU ARE LOVED!!!
Coll continues to recover by the grace of God and through your prayers. Her pain is decreasing, she is getting the medical help that she needs, and she has been granted time off of work to recover. Praises! She is close to being approved for handicap driving accommodations for the times when she has to drive. Colleen is getting in home therapy to help her regain her strength and mobility. I know she is also hoping for a walking aid to help her to move faster and to provide more stability.
She is still so weak and tires very easily. It was quite a feat getting her Christmas tree up the other day- thanks to help from a neighbor. Now, just to have the energy to decorate it! Emery is definitely learning patience, but it is very hard to wait on his mama.
Thank you for praying! Thank you for giving! Thank you for reaching out to Colleen and letting her know you're thinking of her! Thank you for everything!!! God is so good!!!
Colleen's neck pain is becoming more and more severe. She can't get relief. She's going back to the hospital today. Please pray!
Colleen is showing miraculous response to the Immune Globulin Intravenous treatment. She had four rounds and with each round sensation returned more and more to her body. She bounced back so quickly, that she was actually discharged. She is now HOME! This is truly the hand of God! The medical team said that they have never seen someone respond so quickly to treatment! They are following her closely to make sure that she does not relapse.
Please continue to pray for her recovery. She is utterly exhausted and still has "pins and needles" in her feet. Neck pain is also causing her quite a bit of discomfort and she does not know why. Sleep has been very rough as well. Please pray for no other sickness to come her way with it being flu season.
Thank you so much!!! WE LOVE YOU COLLEEN!
